Does Anyone Know Where to Find VERY Cheap Yorkie Puppies?

I’m only 14 and I want to buy my mom a puppy. She loves Yorkies, so I said I’d get her one. But, I don’t have a lot of money at all. And I had a huge surgery a while ago, so I’m on crutches, so I can’t work for the money. I’ll have 40 bucks on Friday, but I don’t think that’ll buy me a Yorkie. The cheapest I found was 295, I think. I found free ones, but it was somewhere VERY far away. I live in Milton NH. Can anyone help?

That’s very sweet that you want to do this for your Mom, but dogs are expensive to take care of too – On top of the dog, you’ll also need money for Dog Food, Vet bills, toys and things like that. Is your Mom OK with paying for those things?

If you want to get a pure Yorkshire Terrier, even one that’s not registered, you’d have to pay close to $1,000. I’d be VERY suspicious of anything that costs less.

Could it be just part Yorkie from a shelter maybe? Good luck. You sound like a thoughtful kid.

I would go to an animal rescue to get the puppy. Be cautious- really cheap ones from a breeder most likely have issues like being inbred. If you get them from a rescue, they usually have shots and are fixed already too. If you go to a rescue and tell them you want to get a Yorkie pup, they might call you when one is brought in. I just typed in your city and state and all of these animal rescues popped up:

Or put flyers up at the rescues or pet stores that say you are looking for a Yorkie pup. Then don’t use your phone number or regular email address…create a new email address that you will only use as a contact for a Yorkie. That way you won’t have junk mail going to your regular email and you won’t have wierdos calling you. But how would your mom feel about another pup, maybe a yorkie mix? You can definitely find tons of little homeless puppies at the shelter, that may even look similar to a Yorkie. I bet if you went to the shelter with your mom a few times and helped her find one, she would fall in love with a little pup even if its not a pure bred yorkie. And theres usually a pretty low fee associated with a shelter adoption. Good luck…don’t stress, I am sure your mom knows that you have no other source of income and cannot work, and she will love the fact that you are sweet enough to even try and get a puppy for her.

Get a rescue dog. They would be much cheaper and they need rescuing! Keep a look out on the websites of your local dog shelter and in the local newspaper.
