Shipping puppies to my door?
And where is Western Victoria Cameroon?
Haha, I saw an ad for free yorkie puppies, so I had to respond…. I got a reply– All I have to do is pay shipping! They "just" moved to…. wherever they said, and after I send $80 and give them my name and address, a shipping company will take them from the airport to my door….
I KNOW it's a scam, but are there shipping companies that will actually pick up live dogs from an airport and deliver them to my door?! Maybe a small private shipping company?
LOL I told them that the check is in the mail.
I know $80 won't even cover the crate and vets health cert just to get on the plane!
If its the only Cameroon that I know its in mid-western Africa between Gabon and the Congo. As for shipping for 80 bucks, non existant since the international fees alone are thousands. It cost over 1,000 bucks to ship my Moroccan Street Dog home with me after a visit to Morocco. After I got the vet ok, and all the paper work (additional 300 dollars) I had to buy a whole plane ticket for the dog, that had to go cargo in the hold. It was no piece of cake. Plus at customs we had a hell of a time and I had to pay more money for bringing in merchandise from out of country. They thought the dog was boughten and not a saved dog from the streets. Yep another 100 bucks. So Its a total scam. Also the regular delievery companies will not deal in live animal cargo. UPS, DHL, Speedy, Fedx they dont deal you have to pick it up at a distributors, or get it from the airport yourself.
TOO ADD: Nigeria and Kenya is the leading countries for internet and telephone scams. They especially love the Western Union Check Scams. There are no regulations in these countries or expitidition treaties with America so all the scammers love these countries.

the sad thing is there are people out there who actually fall for these scams. I know some breeders do ship dogs but i don't think they get deliver to your door… at any rate its much more expensive then 80 dollars

No there are not companies that pick up dogs from the airport and bring them to your house, and I wouldn't want them to if there were one. When you have a puppy shipped the first thing you want to do is get it out of the crate and give it some Nutrical, to boost it's sugar levels and help keep from stress. I had some puppies for sale for $500 I got a ph call to email this guy, because he wanted to get one for his son. He said he would send someone to pick it up. He would send me a check first, then I should tell him where to pick up the puppy. I told him and he sent me a check for $1900 a cashier's check. He said put it in your bank right away and give my courier the puppy, take out the $500 and and extra $100 for your trouble, give the rest to the courier. God Bless. I knew from his writing, he was not American. I called my atty when I got the check. He said they were stolen from a very well known bank, and when I put the check in my bank, I would be charged for it. He said it was a very well known scam. So be careful. Don't send anyone any money for anything. They are getting desperate.

Thumbs up to you for not being a victim. Yes, airlines do ship domestic animals, but not for $80. Unfortunately, there are a lot of victims to this scam and also a lot of them that pay not just for shipping, but for the cost of a purebred dog too!
When I was looking for my Yorkie I ran across several of these. I reported each and everyone to the website I found them on. I almost, not quite, fell for the 1st one I came across though. I know that makes it sound like I'm pretty dumb, huh? Dumb I am not though and I knew how to detect the scams from then on. They only way I figured that one out was by asking the seller lots of questions until they finally tired of me and just quit responding! I mean I bugged them to death even more when I caught on. Even used my dads email like I was a different potential buyer! They deserved everything I dished out to them!
Hint: Your first clue is it is ususally overseas, 2nd always request payment by cashiers check or money order before shipment of the dog, 3rd there is not a physical address, always a PO Box.
Good luck to you potential buyers that are searching the internet. My story turned out with a happy ending and 2 beautiful Yorkies!

Lol, yeah, its unbelievable that some people would actually fall for those scams.
It'd be funny if it wasnt a scam and they actually sent you the dog before you sent them a so called "Cheque".
Hehe, lol.
Good thing you're smart enough not to fall for that.

I don't know of a shipping company that will pick up puppies at the airport, but there are cab services that will do this for you. Our airport is over an hour away and we did get a dog picked up for us once that was air shipped to us.

We had a dog picked up for us, an adult Pekingese, actually:)
yea
I get that ALL the time. its pretty funny. a lot of them are from someone in a foreign country on a missions trip
they are selling their puppy due to (insert problem)
one time I was sent a pic of some puggles that he was trying to push off as mastiffs.
and another time someone sent me a pic of a mastiff pup.
if I hadn't actually seen that picture on dogbreedinfo.com then I MIGHT have fallen for it
next time.
tell them that you are reporting them for scamming.
they have always told me to pick it up at the airport

I find it sad that people actually think, "Oh wow! A free puppy! 80 dollars? No problem!" These are the people that ask the same questions, like "My dog is puking blood, and I dont have enough money to get to the vet."
