A NEW DOG IN THE HOUSe?
IM THINKING ABOUT GETTING A DOG WHICH DOG DO YOU THINK I SHOULD HET THEN PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR ANWSER.
***MALTESE
***POODLE
***MINIATURE POODLE
***YORKSHIRE TERRIER
AND WHAT SPECIAL THINGS YOU I GET FOR THE BREED YOU PICKED?
Avoid any terrier breed unless you can commit to at least 1 walk per day. Terries are a very high energy.
The other three are more companion animals and do better in apartments or in a home with less activity.
Also, consider supporting your local animal shelter. There are often times great mixed breed or even thourough bred dogs there.
I just got a chihuahua/lasa apso mix. He was a stray & about 5 months old when I got him. He's totally cute & will only weigh 10 pounds as an adult. Everyone who meets him wants one just like him!
I know celebrities make having a toy breed look glamourous. If that's your reasoning for getting a dog, please reconsider. They are so much responsibility & deserve to be treated well. They're not a cute purse to drag to the mall.
If you want more details on the specific nature and health of any breed, you can get information from the American Kennel Club's website.

I really don't know anything about those types of breed, usually I had shiz shu, cocker spaniel, doberment, german shepard, chuachua,. Husky. pug, but I would find a dog that does not have long hair unless you have the time and money to groom them. they shed all the time. but what ever dog you do get they usually have books on them. go to the pet store and look around, I'm sure one will catch your eye and the sales person will let you know what you need for them. good luck.

All of the above are good dogs with different temperments. It is really hard to recommend one particular breed because choosing a breed would not only depend on your personality for instance if you like short haired dogs or long haired dogs etc but also where you live. Some dogs require more exercise than others, but looking at your list i'm going to take a stab and assume you like small dogs that only require moderate amounts of exercise. I don't think there really is that much of a difference between a poodle and a miniature poodle but if you don't have room i'd go for a smaller sized dog. I've heard that yorkshire terriers are a smart breed so may be easier to train. Maltese dogs are cute but they have lots of fur which can become a problem unless you want to devote an hour or two every day brushing it. I've got a pomeranian so i know what that's like…we've got fur balls hidden around our house so fur is a big issue especially for those who have allergies.

. I think you should get a short hair dachshund. They do not shed much and they cannot jump up on any couch, chairs, or tables. I had one he was a great little guy.

it really depends on your type of home (appartment, acreage etc.), your ability to withstand hair, whether you want an inside dog or an outside dog.
If you don't mind hair, wouldnt mind getting your new dog groomed every 2 months and liked company then the maltese is for you.
For the poodle, you will have to groom him every month and they do tend to get nippy if children are around.
I would go for the Yorkshire terrier because of their limitless energy, but they are brilliant escape artists so watch out for that.
Just for something different, y not go for a border collie because they are of medium size (smaller then a poodle), are really smart (probably too much so for their own good), have heaps of energy, really want to please and can keep themsleves entertained with toys and a bone all day long. They have almost no health problems and live until they're about 20.

Yorkshire Terrier because I have15 of them. They are so friendly and they are licking machies. You should buy a few small not rubber toys. Rubbers can choke a dog if they chew it. Some bones ,but don't leave a dog home with a bone in its cage because it can chew it down to where it can eat it ,but it can choke on it. When a bone goes down to where it smallish take it out and thorw it away. Never be mean to the puppy. Plus don't leave a dog with a stanger or alone someone might take it.
