Any Teacup Yorkshire Terrier breeders in the North West area, UK?
I am looking to buy a miniature yorkshire terrier.
there is just one type of yorkshire terrier, regardless of what you may have been told.
there is a TREND developing for very small toy breeds, much smaller than breed standard would allow, you can find tea-cup SIZED and shamefully bred dogs on websites all over now, the dogs are dressed up all cute with bows and placed in a basket to look sweet for their web sites.
there seem to be more and more people convinced that their is nothing wrong with breeding ultra small dogs.
these dogs are more likely to develop health problems, like breathing difficulties for eg.
breed standards have been put in place for a reason, and these TEACUP yorkies are only a fraction of the weight the breed should be, which basically means its a runt.
another thing is these tiny dogs are bred to be smaller and smaller, a small dog produces a small litter, the price you pay for a so called teacup dog doesnot reflect its quality, and i have noticed these and "designer" dogs are being sold for far more than even show standard puppies (you will just be ripped off).
look for a good show kennel and get a puppy from there.
a breeder who breeds to show will always have pups that dont meet what they are looking for in a show dog, this is why they sell them, they will keep the best only.
expect to pay £650 for a yorkie pup, a "teacup" will most likely cost upwards of that for some weired reason, i have no idea why, probably because there is always someone who will buy one, and will most likely cost you in vet bills in the long run, and live a shorter life.

Try adoption. I have seen more than 30 pure bred yorkies come through the rescue I work at.
Try saving a life!! It is incredibly rewarding and I don't know why a dog lover would opt to ignore the need for loving homes.

Nope.
Why, might you ask?
Because there is no such thing as a teacup or miniature Yorkshire Terrier.

Look around your local shelters.
That's where the majority of them wind up once their owners realize they are just poorly bred Yorkshire's.

Nope. Cuz there's no such thing.
Just get a real Yorkie, and save yourself the vet bills.

There is no such thing as a teacup or miniature yorkshire terrier. There is only ONE size. Only bad BYB and puppy millers slap that on to attract unsuspecting people such as yourself that dont do research. These small 2-3 pound dogs have serious health related problems due to bad breeding. One being a shortened life due to underdeveloped hearts and lungs. Heart Failure is the number one killer of these small sickly runts. They only live to be 2-3 years old usually if you get one that lives past that you are lucky but doesnt mean you should get one.
NO responsible breeder anywhere would breed a dog this small knowing that the health risks are high.
Lots of responsible breeders have runts but you dont see them slapping on the name teacup just so they can jack up the price. And usually these well bred runts end up being bigger then there littermates

There's no such thing as a teacup anything. If you find anyone selling these, run far far away because they are a bad, bad breeder! There is ONE type of yorkshire terrier, and this is the standard that good breeders follow. If you can to find a good breeder, visit the UKC website. Remember, anyone selling a teacup/miniature/micro/pocket anything is selling an overpriced runt, and you will pay for it in vet bills in the future.

Sorry,
the only real teacups are the ones in my China Cabinet.

There's only one size Yorkie. Anyone who says they have 'teacup' dogs is a scam artist. Yorkies are small to begin with…get a healthy one, not an ill-bred runt.

No such thing as teacups.
Unless you mean pots?
I'd consider getting a normal yorkie. Think long and hard. Do you want to support a bad breeder and end up with a dog with many health problems?

The Shelter?
Teacup = runt of a runt of a runt = horrible health = outrageous amounts of money for an unhealthy pup.
There's no such thing as a teacup breed. It's just an unhealthy dog.
