Here Are the Top 20 Dog Breeds for 2006 in Canada. What Do You Think?

1.Labrador Retriever 2. Golden retriever 3. German Shepherd 4.Poodle 5. Shetland Sheepdog 6. Yorkshire Terrier 7. Miniature Schnauzer 8. Boxer 9. Shih Tzu 10. Beagle 11. Bernese mountain dog 12. Bichon Frise 13. Pomeranian 14. American cocker spaniel 15. Pug 16. Rottweiler 17. Cavalier King Charles spaniel 18. west highland white terrier 19. Havanese 20. Siberian Husky
Sorry, only purebreds. This list from The Canadian kennel club.
This was based on what the majority of people here registered with the CKC have. In my opinion #1 should be GSD, and #2 should be the Yorkshire terrier.

Not surprising.

I love mutts though, just as good, not inbred and much cheaper

The list is not that different than here in the USA.
I'm happy that the Golden Retriever is in the number 2 spot. Although I'd place them as number 1. :)

good, but in my opinion, switch golden retriever with labrado retriever, and switch begle with yorkshire terrier, and put boxers ahead f miniature schnauzers.

I think poodles are the best. They are SO smart and they are also hypoallergenic for most people. I have had 8 and they are the easiest to train and very devoted.
