Is anyone else peeved………..?
with the amount of adverts for cross breed puppies like Pug-zus, Dorgis, Cavapoos, Schnoodles, Shnugs, Goldendoodles, Pug-a-poos, and the like, all with expensive price tags? I was in a dog park a few weeks ago with my two Bull Mastiffs, and saw the most hideous dog, being walked in a stroller. I had to ask the woman what type f dog it was, which she replied it was a Yorkie Pin, a cross of a Yorkshire Terrier and a Miniature Pinscher, for which she paid upwards of a $1000 for!!!! I cannot believe people will place such a price tag on a MUTT, when there are hundreds at local shelters everywhere. Why not adopt and just give it a fancy designer name?
I agree!! And another thing ..
PET STORLLERS!!
Your dog has legs for a reason you know!! It would be much happier to walk then to sit in a buggy.

I totally agree with you. You can get a dog from a shelter that would be just as good as an expensive dog. The dog from the shelter could even be better!

People are idiots and think putting out a lot of money for an animal makes it worth more.

There are plusses and minusses to having a purebred vs a mix. In my opinion, mixed breeds tend to pick up good things from both parents. But purebreds are good too because you know who the parents are and what they are like. But there are enough unethical breeders out there who create puppy-mills, and that is really sad.
I don't have a dog at the moment but have had quite a few in my past, and have decided that my next one will be a pound-pup or a rescue. But I can't see paying a grand for one (unless it's because I choose to make a contribution to a rescue organization).

I agree about the prices of these mixed breed dogs, but at least you have some idea about the dog's size and behavioral traits from the breeds it's mixed with. As for the shelter mutts, from personal experience, you have no idea how big these dogs may get. The best dog I've ever had (and I've had purebreds) a peek-a-poo.

i completely agree with you!! i dont believe in buying a 'designer dog' for several hundreds of dollars. i can go to teh humane society and rescue an animal for a fraction of that price. to me, rescue dogs are better dogs anyway
