How much will my "teacup" maltese/yorkie puppy weigh?? he is 12 weeks and weighs 1.8lbs ?

iam looking to buy this puppy but i want to make sure she is going to be a tea cup first.

Unless two purebred dogs are crossed with a specific practical purpose in mind { for example a Lurcher} then the breeder is either cashing in on the current fad for under sized, usually poorly bred dogs or had an "accidental" litter.

A responsible breeder would never use the term "tea cup", a red flag to keep your money in your pocket and walk away. If you want a cross bred dog, have a look in your local rescue shelters.

No such thing. "tea cup"= runt of the litter.Buy her if you want but please don't pay a lot for a mixed breed runt. I am sorry don't mean to deflate you or insult you, just want you to be informed, before you buy.

You are an idiot. You are looking to buy a runt and support puppy mills in the process. There should be be laws against owners like you, supporting animal cruelty.

Honey "teacup" is not a formal defined term so it can mean whatever your (or the seller) WANT it to mean sorta like "creampuff" from a used car salesman. And the use of "teacup" as well as mixing breeds in not a good sign he's more honest than a used car dealer though! (think shady deals)
IF the parent dogs are both within the size you'd like the pup is likely (but not guarenteed) to be the size youd like. IF the mother is not around to see the size — RUN!!!!! the father is more iffy ….

Tea cups are a scam for mixed breads. They have no way of telling how big it will be since it's been bred from two other dogs.
If you have to pay more because it's a "tea cup" do not take the offer.
Also don't buy from pet stores. They get dogs from puppy mills, and are expected to only live 8 years at the most. They usually have social problems and health problems as well.

ha i agree with the first answer a teacup is something we drink tea from, a dog version is a runt that has been kept alive artificially as in the wild the mum dog smothers them!

Sweety, there is no such thing as a "teacup".

It is just a sickly bred runt being profitted off of from people like you who fall for it and actually think they're getting something special.

Well, for starters, there is no such thing as a 'teacup.' Also, the dog you are considering is a mutt…there is no way to determine anything about the characteristics, physical or otherwise, that the dog will end up with as an adult, no way to determine which gene pool traits are going to be inherited from. I would say you research and educate yourself on toy breeds BEFORE you make a committment to them. (Which you obviously have not done or you wouldn't be using the term "teacup.")
