Well first of all there is no such thing as a Teacup yorkie. They are basically bred down runts. They are typically sickly and don't live long. My parents have a bred down poodle and I don't think she is going to last much longer and she is only 6 years old. (I've known other bred down dogs and they haven't been to healthy either)

But you can go to your local shelter and perhaps you will find one there for a small adoption fee

Chances are if you are going to buy one of these poorly bred pups you are looking at spending 1500 atleast.

I'm happy with my shelter mutt honestly. A regular heinz 57, but to each their own

Runts of the litter have more health problems and spindly bones, a.k.a. teacup.

You do know you would be buying the runt, the one breeders can't push off on knowledgeable Yorkie people? At an exorbitant price usually.

You will be paying the full price over and over for that puppy once it matures and then elderly.

There's no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. They're just poorly bred runts sold by puppy mills and other greedy, irresponsible breeders. Teacups have all kinds of health and temperament problems and many die at a young age. Even if you could find one for less than $120, you'll still end up spending thousands on vet bills to keep it alive.

The only place to find a puppy in your price range is at a shelter. The adoption fee is very reasonable and includes vaccinations and spaying. Try looking on petfinder.com; Yorkies are really common, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.

I have a friend here in SoDak selling full bred Yorkies. She has four females left and she's asking $350 per. So that isn't what your looking for.

For starters, there is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. It's a marketing term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small with no regard for the overall health of the animal. Use of the term "teacup" is actually a big flag amongst Yorkie enthusiasts.

I would suggest that before you actively try to acquire a dog, of any type, you take the time to actually educate yourself on the breed first, which you clearly have not done. It will only benefit you in the long run by giving you the information you need to select a quality dog and to avoid being taken advantage of by shady breeders.

While you are researching, save your money. Or keep checking with shelters. No reputable breeder is going to place a dog with you for such a little amount. They have LOTS of costs they have to cover too and $120 won't even scratch the surface of it.

In all honesty, if you contacted a breeder looking for a "teacup" for only $120, you would probably be laughed at.

People there is no reason to be mean to her….most of the people requesting these animals are just not aware of the false hype that is being generated.

Teacup puppies are just poorly bred dogs…if you are looking for a yorkie, I would suggest searching your local shelters or a rescue specifically for the yorkie breed. if you are unable to find one, contact me and i will point you in the right direction.
