Can Anybody Please Look on the Internet and Tell Me Were I Can Find a Cheap Teacup Yorkie Puppy?

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Please help me i need to find one thats in Daytona Beach FL or Orlando,Ormand And anywere thats close to Ormand Please help me on my research were trying to find one for my big sister thats cheap….

What is a teacup Yorkie? They don’t exist. There is no breed standard for a runt, called a "teacup" from marketing propaganda that is used to trick people into thinking that sickly dogs are a fashion statement. I don’t mean to be harsh, but I would really hope that you wouldn’t want a dog that was bred from one sickly, abused runt to another sickly, abused runt, thus making their puppies even more sickly. The "teacups" are a something that puppy mills and backyard breeders breed to make a buck. They don’t live very long because they are sickly.

As far as getting something cheap… there isn’t a cheap Yorkie (standard) out there to begin with, unless you rescue one from a breed specific rescue or a shelter. True, well-bred Yorkies from a reputable breeder cost $1,000 minimum, if not more than that most of the time. I think you should do a little more research yourself on breeds and dog care and talk to your sister more about it and see what she thinks.

I work at the Humane Society and we had a girl in there two weeks ago that brought us her 7 week old "Teacup" Yorkie to cremate because it died 2 days after she got it. The breeder let it go to a home too soon, as well as poorly bred them. That is the kind of stuff that happens with them. She was out her money, and the breeder wasn’t returning her calls.

like i know there yorkies but as in what size would a full grown mini or teacup yorkie be??
also any other info about them would be appreciated!

thanks!!!
well are there miniature yorkies then? if so same question again what size do they grow to be?? thanks!! :)
thanks everyone for your answers!! really appreciate it!!

a teacup yorkie is a smaller version of kennel club breed standards yorkies…only thing different than them and the breed standards is that they are not recognized by kennel clubs because they don’t fit the standards for showing…my aunt in west virgina breeds tea cup chihuahuas..alot want the smaller breeds so they are easier to sell…she sells her for the same price a show breeders sell theirs $1500….teacups can go 1 to 3 lbs…

I don’t have to have papers but it does have to be a teacup yorkie. Thanks Again
In Ohio Please. I live in Andover Ohio
ok i am looking for a yorkie puppy no older than 10 weeks old that will not be more than 5 to 6 lbs full grown.

Try your local China shops.

And do some research. Yorkshire Terrier comes in ONE size – a two pounder is the same as a six pounder, there is no named or noticed difference (like there is in Schnauzers and Poodles.)

Anyone selling a "teacup" dog is selling poorly bred runt type dogs. You will NOT find one at a "decent price" because people who breed them are doing so to scam money from people who didn’t bother to research. Period.

If you want a small Yorkie, find one from a reputable breeder. Or try a rescue group or shelter.

Yorkies and small dogs in general will cost well into the $900 range because they ARE hard to safely breed/whelp. They also have smaller litters.

Searching for a Teacup Yorkie?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I live in Delaware and I’m looking for a new puppy. Preferably a teacup yorkie. I would like it to be anything from 300-600. I know it’s very unlikely to find one in that price range but I figured it’s worth a try. I can go anywhere from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to Maryland. Please direct me to legitimate sites with absolutely no scammers!!!

I hope these sites will help

My Puppy Is Year Now Is It Time to Change Him From Puppy Chow to Dog Chow My Puppy Is Teacup Yorkie?

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

I know people dont that they are real breed but whatever my puppy is really really health puppy

Yeah it’s time to switch him to adult dog food. When adults eat puppy food, they have a higher chance of becoming fat and they are lacking nutrients (or have too much of certain other nutrients) because puppy food is made for puppies. Use an adult food of the same brand and it will be fine!

Teacup Yorkie Question?

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

I will be getting a teacup yorkie puppy about 8 weeks…I currently have a 5 year old beagle…she is really sweet but doese not know many dogs, how would I be able to integrate the yorkie into my beagles life
she will not be sleeping with her or be with her unsupervised…but I would like them to atleast get along…any suggestions
I would never buy a puppy from a breeder I`m getting him from a rescue…he has an ear infection and no body wanted him so I`m giving him a good home…please think before you speak…and puppy mills are disgusting.
the dog was ill bred so he is not in the best shape but I`m taking him because every dog deserves a good home

SMH…asking why lord WHY?

heres a suggestion…find yourself a reputable Yorkie breeder, or a Yorkie rescue, and stop being one of those gullible ninnys that believe the crap fed to you by some BYB profit monster.

A Teacup anything is a BIG RED FLAG that you are being RIPPED OFF by giving money to someone who has no ethical standards, does not care about the general health and welfare of the dogs they are breeding or creating, and will disappear on you the first time you come across a health complication with your sickly, ill-bred pup.

good luck to you.

Teacup Yorkie Puppy Problems?

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

I live in an apartment by myself, but my girlfriend shows up everyday at least for 5 hours if not stay the night. I got my "teacup" yorkie about 2 weeks ago and he follows me everywhere I go just how I dog should. Thats not the problem…his name is sam and he doesn’t seem to like my girlfriend yet. Hes my dog…but shes around for a while everyday, but nope sam is almost scared to death when she walks in the door, but Shes a very nice person, an animal lover as well, still no luck. Also, is there an actual breed of teacup yorkies or is it just the runt of the litter before the sell them?

There is no such thing as a ‘teacup’ of any breed and certainly not any ‘teacup’ yorkies. Yorkies come in one size only, and that is the breed standard. They are the product of BYB and puppy mill breeding two runts together to get puppies smaller than the standard. They are often riddled with health problems and genetic disorders.
Maybe try having your girlfriend keep some treats in her pocket and when the dog is around, have her throw him a treat. After a while, have her start throwing them closer and closer to herself, until the dog will come and eat it out of her hand. Eventually he’ll see that your g/f being there is a good thing (since she gives him treats) and he wont be afraid or fearful anymore.
Don’t force him into it as it will only make his fear worse.
