I want to adopt either a Teacup Yorkie or a Teacup Chihuahua.
I am looking for one that I can get for free, adopt somewhere.
I want to get your opinion on which dog would be better!
I want it to be at or less than 5 lbs., FULL GROWN.
Are long or short hair Chihuahuas better?
I know how Chihuahua's can grow up and have coarse-looking (and sometimes feeling) fur & can be 'stocky' adults like these:

And Yorkies have that "grayish" hair, which is actually called "blue":

Soooo PLEASE HELP!!
And if you know any breeders, adoption centers, animal clinics, etc. around ABERDEEN, ASHEBORO, CARTHAGE, ROBBINS & BISCOE, NORTH CAROLINA that have teacup Chihuahua puppies or teacup Yorkie puppies FOR FREE, please please please tell me! I don't order dogs over the internet, so don't give me websites to go to.
Please help me & thanks if you do help me! And thanks for reading all this too!!!!!
There is no such thing as a "teacup" for either of these breeds. There are no sub-categories for the standard based on size….just one standard. It's a marketing term used by unethical breeders used to describe ill bred runts. Reputable breeders to not purposely breed to produce extremely small dogs. If those are your requirements, I would suggest that you try your local puppy miller or back yard breeder.
If you want to be responsible and wise with your choice, then I suggest you start by researching the breeds, educating yourself on them and THEN taking the time to find a reputable breeder. It's concerning that you are willing to make a long term committment to a dog, yet you have not even bothered to educate yourself on the breed first.

http://www.mini-yorkie.com has another episode in the life of three adorable teacup Yorkshire Terrier puppies. The puppies are going into their eighth week and Hoss and Peanut have found homes, but the woman who was going to take Sarah had a sudden change of heart, so Sarah is available again. They had several “big events” this week. First, they completely outgrew their “puppy pool,” so were allowed to be out in the big wide world for the first time. Second, they played outside for the first time. And third, they got their eight week vaccinations and worming. To follow the story of their lives, go to http://www.mini-yorkie.com/puppies.html.
