Okay I'm 15 years old and I want a a teacup or a really tiny tiny tiny dog, no more than 5 pounds. There are no kids in our house hold. I'm the youngest. But I can't decide what breed of dog I want. It's a race between a maltese, chihuahua, pomeranian, or a yorkie.
The problem is a maltese and yorkies has really long fur which I think is kind of ugly and maltese always have those brown/red tear stains and get dirty so quickly because their white.
Then chihuahuas and poms are adorable but are yippy nippy mean/loud and bark nonstop?!

First of all, there is NO such thing as teacup dogs. Do your research. This is only a ploy by back yard breeders to try to convince people to pay more for their puppies.
Secondly, Maltese and Yorkies are long haired, which I personally thinks is cute. But if you don't like it, you can always keep them in a puppy cut. Also, Maltese do not always have tear stains and there are ways to maintain them. I have never had a tear staining issue with my 4 year old Maltese.
ANY dog can be nippy and mean. It depends on how you raise them.
Lastly, there is really no way to be sure that your dogs will be under 5Ibs until it's done growing after it is more than 1 year old. For example, my Maltese is 10Ibs.
