Teacup Yorkie Question?

I will be getting a teacup yorkie puppy about 8 weeks…I currently have a 5 year old beagle…she is really sweet but doese not know many dogs, how would I be able to integrate the yorkie into my beagles life
she will not be sleeping with her or be with her unsupervised…but I would like them to atleast get along…any suggestions
I would never buy a puppy from a breeder I`m getting him from a rescue…he has an ear infection and no body wanted him so I`m giving him a good home…please think before you speak…and puppy mills are disgusting.
the dog was ill bred so he is not in the best shape but I`m taking him because every dog deserves a good home

SMH…asking why lord WHY?

heres a suggestion…find yourself a reputable Yorkie breeder, or a Yorkie rescue, and stop being one of those gullible ninnys that believe the crap fed to you by some BYB profit monster.

A Teacup anything is a BIG RED FLAG that you are being RIPPED OFF by giving money to someone who has no ethical standards, does not care about the general health and welfare of the dogs they are breeding or creating, and will disappear on you the first time you come across a health complication with your sickly, ill-bred pup.

good luck to you.

Just use common sense. Introduce them gradually. make sure the beagle knows she is still number one to you.

After a couple of days they should be happy with each other. After a few weeks I would let them sleep together.

Considering there is no such thing as "teacup" in the Yorkie breed, the chances are you'll have a very sick little puppy that your beagle is bound to hurt accidentally.

Can I ask why you've chosen to buy a puppy a month too young from a puppy mill/backyard breeder? Do you have morals?

My Suggestion? Go to http://www.ytca.org and learn about Yorkies and how to buy a healthy one.

Added: Think before we speak? You didn't give any info, used a puppy mill moniker, and are getting a puppy a month too young. These are all hallmarks of a puppy mill/BYB and not a rescue group that I would trust.

There is no such thing as a "teacup" anything unless it's something you drink out of.

Your buying a sickly runt from a backyard breeder. Save your money because your going to need it for all the vet bills your "teacup" will have.

Edit: A rescue would never call anything a "teacup" and would take care of the ear infection. I don't believe your getting the pup from a rescue at all!

Yes puppy mills are disgusting but so are backyard breeders. Backyard breeders are the biggest contributors to the overpopulation of dogs!

How does she react to dogs in general? Try to take her to a dog park or to visit a friends dog to see how she reacts. Make sure not to introduce the new dog in a situation where the beagle is calm and not preoccupied with eating or napping.
