Can my teacup yorkie play with my other dogs?
I got a 6 week old female teacup yorkie on Saturday, she is really sweet but of course she is smaller than the average yorkie so i'm worried about her playing with my other dogs. I have a APBT, Newfoundland, Beagle and American bulldog and they are MUCH bigger than her, do you all think she could safely play with them without getting injured? My pit bull is really playful but I think she doesn't know her own strength.
There is NO SUCH THING as a teacup yorkie. She is going to be the same size as a regular yorkie. Did you know so called 'teacups' are actually runts and have serious health problems? I bet you paid loads for that dog.
As for your 6 week old puppy playing with grown dogs… you have to be absolutely NUTS.

She's smaller because she's way too young to be away from her mother and littermates. You got scammed big time. Disreputable breeders will sell puppies that are much younger than the law allows, often lying about their age to boot, to fool gullible people into believing that 'teacups' actually exist. If I had money to bet, I'd say your 'teacup' will be either average sized, or larger than the breed standard. As for playing with large breed adults…. are you nuts???

There is no way she can play with these dogs at her age and weight. You were scammed by a lowlife. The fact that she is a "Teacup" only mentions more. Fragile bones, little paws… unstable system.
I sure hope you have the money to pay for these mistakes.
No joke, you can kill her by standing on her. Your other dogs can kill her meaninglessly by rough play. Your going have to keep her under good care.
You'll learn from this mistake however. Keep this in mind.

You bought a sickly runt from a backyard breeder. Be prepared for some hefty vet bills.
Do not let the yorkie play with those big dogs.
No such thing as a "teacup" when your referring to dogs.

just be careful and supervise them at all times but wit until the little yorkie is mostly grown before letting it play with the pit and be sure to teach the other dogs limits wen around the little yorkie but given time and some training i'm sure the can all get along i would know i have 5 toy sized dogs living in a house with a 70 pound german Shepard mix and there has never been any problems just be care full and always supervise and wen ur not around baby gates work great to keep then apart till u get home good luck

The average Yorkies is 7lbs and under.
You bought a badly bred dog from a byb and also got it 6 weeks to early. Heck the dogs are only a minor concern since may "teacups" don't live past the first year.
No she cannot safely play with your other dogs since they are all at least 4 times her size.
It wouldn't take much for them to hurt her without meaning to.

your puppy is still a baby give her until she is at least four months old to play with the bigger dogs she needs to be treated like a baby makes sure she eats she is hypo glysimic at this stage in her life make sure she eats every 3 hours and she should sleep a lot small breeds can be taken away from mom earlier because little moms get weak from taken care of puppies so now that you have to take care of the puppy, like as if you were it's mom

i wouldn't a big paw from a big dog could really hurt the pup.

For starters, there is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. A little research before you got the dog would have told you that and would have been the responsible, wise thing to do. It would have also told you that not only is 6 weeks way too young for a Yorkie pup to be placed with a new owner, but it's actually illegal in many states. Reputable breeders don't place Yorkie pups until they are around 12 weeks old, and they certainly don't purposely breed tiny dogs and call them 'teacups.'
That being said, you need to be extremely cautious with your dog at this point and make sure you are taking the appropriate steps to ensure your pup doesn't have issues with hypoglycemia. Small dogs can be easily injurred, so it would be best to closely supervise their play time with your other dogs and to stongly limit their active play time.
