Yorkies only come in one size, according to the breed standard. Any 'teacup' is a runt of a litter. There is no standard size on runts. They grow to whatever size they're going to get. References :
around 3 lbs,but the smaller you get the more expensive the vet bill, and you pretty much have to carry them every where they can't walk fast enough to keep up with you References :
all runts do not stay small, all my runts have ended up weighing more then their sibblings
Now there is no teacups, its just a made up work for irresponsible idiots use to sell puppies, meanwhile you may get a puppy that is under 6 weeks old,and they lie and say they are 8 weeks old
Yorkies depending on how much they eat,4 to 7 lbs. References :
Yorkshire terriers are at average 7 pounds, so if it is a teacup Yorkie, it is probably the runt of the litter and will weigh about 4.5 pounds full grown. References : Dog expert
I'm not sure how they get them so small but I have a friend who has a yorkie who is only 1 1/2 pounds. It looks so fragile I am afraid it could easily break it's tiny little bones. She said she bought it from a breeder in North Carolina. My daughter has a male yorkie and he weighs about 7 pounds and is a very cute little dog. That tiny little thing really doesn't look very healthy to me. References :
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the DON'T exists. What DOES exists, however, are a variety of poorly bred, sickly runts that unethical breeders charge an arm and a leg for and call teacups. The ONE standard for Yorkies does not have any subcategories based on the size of the dog. If you have a link showing that the standard has been updated, please share it.
You should start your search for a Yorkie by educating yourself on the breed first, clearly you have not done that or you would be well aware that use of the phrase "teacup" is taboo amongst Yorkie enthusiasts and no respectable breeder will place a dog with you if it is evident that you have not done your homework first.l References : Yorkie Breeder 10+ years
When your looking to buy a TEACUP be prepared that when you say this, your setting yourself up to be a victim of puppy mills. Honest, Ethical breeders educate, and do not make false claims to say that their puppies WILL FOR A FACT be teacups. No ethical breeder will claim to have ESP and know just exactly what size a puppy will mature to be. So when you ask for a Teacup, puppy mill people will run up to promise you they have exactly that! A teacup baby of your dreams that will only mature at 2-3 lbs. Most will even give you a guarantee!
But wait….
That is not what your really going to get. Most of these breeders who make such unrealistic promises, sell sick, underage, dogs that they mass produce in cages to sell to people who are easy to trick. If saying that the sick puppy will for sure be a teacup makes you buy it, then that is what they will promise!
What most get is a 4-5 week old sick puppy that dies days or weeks after purchase of parvo or distemper because they came from a sick puppy mill cage. The buyer doesn't get a refund, but instead gets a HUGE vet bill trying to save this tiny little puppy they fell in love with. They buyer will never get any $$ back, even if they go to court as the puppy miller will not show up.
So if you want a smaller dog, buy an adult so you know exactly what size it will be and you can see that it is healthy and has its shots ect.
OR
If you want a puppy, do your homework! Research the breed! Do not search the web for 'teacup yorkie' or you will only find unethical breeders. Instead run a search for yorkie breeders in your area. Go to their website, look at what they offer. If you only see puppies on the site, or promises that they sell TEACUPS, run away, do not go there. If they show adults, tell about themselves, are members of breed clubs, then contact them, and ask to see them at their home. If they don't allow you to their home, do not buy from them! IF you go to their home and they have a TON of dogs (20 or more) do not buy from them. If they only have a couple puppies to show you, but no parents are on the property, DO NOT buy from them.
Don’t belive that there are teacup yorkies. Be very careful about getting one on line They want you to send the money first and they tell you they are sending the puppy and they don’t,,,,,you lose all that money. Go see the puppy ask to see the parents

Here's a little-known trick to keep 'em really small …
After you stuff 'em in the teacup at night, make sure you put the saucer on top! Honest!
So it just depends how big the teacup is, y'know … the smaller the cup, the smaller the dog … make sure you choose a really tiny one!

Yorkies are small dogs. Why would you want a dog any smaller?
And where did you get "They do exist" at? Show proof.
Their is no breed standard for Teacups because they DON'T exist.
It's just backyard breeders wanting money, they are unhealthy, fragile, runts.
Adopt a Yorkie from a Yorkie Rescue.
Or buy a Yorkie from a Reputable Breeder.
"Teacups" DON'T exist!!!!
See Proof here:
