How tall does the teacup Yorkie get?
Everything I see about Teacup Yorkies is the weight. I want to know how tall they get. And how long they get.
well to be honset there is no such thing as a tea cup anything as far as AKC or CKC. It is just a chance you take that you get a small one. must of the time if both the parents are small it will be small and yeah ppl do call them mini's, teacups and other small terms but if you ready the register papers i do believe you will see that its just a yorkie. At least that is what i have been told. Due to the fact I have a almost 3 lb chihuahua and he is full grown. His mom is 5lbs and his dad is 8lbs but you see his brother at 10 weeks was more than he is now and he was just 1lb 4oz. His brother over powered him when there were in the mommy. Best guess would be to find out how big the parnets are and give it a guess when the puppy is about 8 to 10 weeks old. Hope this helped
and Good Luck!

about as tall as the teacup.
there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie. yorkies only come in one size and teacup aint it. the term teacup is only used by back yard breeders and puppy millers to describe poorly bred runts and to screw people out of money.

There is no such thing as a blasted Goddamn TEACUP anything. Yorkies hav ONE size and that is 7lbs and under there are no height requirements for the breed.

"Teacup" isn't an official term. Everyone has their own definition of what a "teacup" dog should look like. So there is no way of telling.
Don't buy from people who sell these kind of dogs. They are using a made up term to attract people to buying a runt. It's pretty much a scam.
REAL Yorkies only come in one size which is toy. Look for a breeder who advertises their dogs for what they are "Yorkies" or "Yorkshire Terriers". Anything else is a scam.

there's no such thing as a teacup ANYTHING. they are runts.
that's it.
yorkies are already small dogs?!?! 7 lbs and under, how much smaller of a dog do you want?!?!
go buy a damn keychain!

There is NO SUCH THING as a teacup yorkie!!
They're just runts of the litter that BYBers sell.
A YORKIE is a type of dog,not a "teacup" yorkie.

Yorkies come in ONE size ONLY. See AKC.ORG for the breed standard.
How many times do you people have to hear this before understanding that there is NO such thin?

impossible to answer as there is no recognised breed as a teacup anything. It is a made-up name for sickly puppies bred by backyard greeders and puppy mills.
If they live to adulthood, which often they do not, they can be undersize or they may be oversized as they BYB who breed them only breed for money and often give them the name to dupe the uneducated in paying over inflated prices for them. See links/

ADDED: ELIZABETH - if you think there is indeed a recognised "teacup" breed with a legitimate kennel club then please post the link to the recognised breed standard !!!!!!!

Is there a standard height for fine china? They should be shorter than a coffee cup, but not so small that they don't fit nicely on the saucer.

Since teacup is an automatic flashing neon sign that reads "inferior" there is no way of predicting the size of a runt. Please don't support breeder ignorance by buying one of these pets.

Since there is no such thing as a teacup dog, there is no standard for size or weight…..

it all depends on how tall the mother and father is.
in my case i got a teacup chihuahua (long haired) and everyone was telling me there is no such thing as teacup but there is..if the actual mother of the dog was a teacup or the runt of the litter and had puppys all her puppys will be tecup sized
my teacup chihuahua was 400 grams at 12 weeks when we got her…now ive had her for 9 months..and shes done growing..and shes 2.5pounds

teacups would be under 4 lbs..standard is 4 lbs and up…There is no clear line. The media has taken this word and pushed it into the mainstream of those purchasing puppies. One breeder may call a 4 (1.81 kg) pound Yorkie a Teacup and another will refer only 2 or 3 pound (.90 kg or 1.36 kg) dogs as Teacups.

In "everything" that you saw, did you ever see anything telling you that there is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie? (Because there isn't.) Teacup is a marketing term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small with no regard for the overall health of the animal. There is ONE standard for the Yorkshire Terrier, no sub categories based on weight, size.
