What is the best self grooming kit for them? How often do they eat? Wh.at is a good name for a teacup yorkie? The name must be unique.
There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. Teacup is a marketing term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small with no regard to the health of the animal or the breed standard. I suggest that before you actively look for a dog, you take the time to at least research the breed first so that you will be aware of these things. (How are you going to select a quality, healthy dog if you don’t know anything about them?)
Also, well bred dogs are expensive for a reason. Breeders have costs to cover–stock, food, grooming and whelping supplies, medical testing, vet bills, vaccinations, registration fees, etc etc. They are not going ot take a loss or cut corners just to give you a dog "for cheap."
If your funds are limited, then check with shelters and rescues. Otherwise you’ll have to save your money until you can afford one. Just like eeeeeverybody else.
were getting a dog a teacup yorkie but cant find any in Illinois under 400 and were looking and like by chicago. The reason teacup is my mom likes teacup. So please help me teacup yorkie only.
There’s no such thing, please tell your mom that it’s a sickly runt that’ll die early. Please look at your local shelters.
Where can I find a teacup yorkie in Sacramento,ca that doesn’t cost too much. I know they are expensive. I live in Sacramento,ca. If you know of anyone that is looking to give them away at a reasonable price or for free locally please let me know.
Thanks.
Please don’t help the byb’s continue to have a reason to keep breeding for these designer pocket pooches. They are sickly runts that are bred to make these. Do yourself and the breed a favor and buy from a reputable breeder a healthy normal sized yorkie. It’s a lifetime investment and there’s no good reason to want to pay for a mutant.
Is a Teacup Yorkie A runt in a litter or something or does it not exist?
Is The Teacup Yorkie Like a normal Yorkie? Are they almost the same size? Important questions!
Thanks you!
A "teacup" Yorkie has the same background and temperament as a Yorkie. The only difference is that a teacup is inbred, overbred, and poorly bred so that the breeder can get the smallest dog a.k.a. the most money possible… so it isn’t a runt, the litter mates will be about the same size. This type of breeding for small sizes means the poor dog’s health is compromised. Expect problems with the dog’s knees slipping out of socket, many dental problems (same amount of teeth in a tinier mouth!), increased risk of all the diseases and conditions Yorkies are already prone to, and paying money out the ass to your vet.
My friend paid $2000 to a "breeder" for a "teacup" Yorkshire Terrier. She paid another $750 to her vet to have some kind of dental issue fixed. The dog had luxating patellas (slipping knee caps) and my friend paid a ton of money for pain meds. The dog had major skin allergies and a sensitive stomach. She threw up almost anything and had to be on an expensive prescription diet because of the allergies.
Aside from all of that… they’re just as rowdy, fun, and courageous as any Yorkshire Terrier… when they’re not feeling the negative effects of some horrible illness or condition.
OH. And I forgot to mention that the poor baby died just before she turned 2 years old. The vet was unable to determine why but he said it’s very likely that her heart never formed all the way due to her size and how breeders get them so small!
I really want a teacup yorkie and i have done alot of research on them, i cant afford an expensive one so know of any for free or really cheap, willing to pay up to $150, prefer one at least a year old
Toys R us has some really cheap ones. They even fit in a tea cup. Cheaper still are the ones in the goodwill shops.
I have been wanting a yorkie for such a long time now, so I am looking for one in North Carolina that is either free for adoption or is very low priced.
Check with your pounds and maybe get on their waiting list…you can also check other shelters and arrange shipping if one comes in. Because of their health issues and puppymill raids they get some occasionally. Not a real good choice for someone wanting to save a buck cos you’re most likely into future vet bills up the wazoo.
Im really interested in getting a tiny teacup yorkie but they are very expensive. So I came up with the idea of adopting. Does anyone know of a place i could adopt one for free in Missouri?
First of all no dog is free, no shelter is going to let you adopt any dog without first paying a fee.
And secondly teacup dog’s don’t exist, teacup is just a fancy designer name given to severely inbreed dogs. These dogs are bred to be abnormally small and because of this they have more health and genetics issues, and many die before reaching adult hood.

I have a very healthy, playful Yorkie that’s only 3 pounds…She got checked in a vet and she’s just like normal, but very tiny.
I told people about Teacup Yorkies and they just flamed. Especially breeders.
Because its not normal…….. and most "intelligent breeders and vets know this"
Your the one that should be angry, I know I would if I had an:
Underweight
Inbreed
Sickly, Mutated,
Laden with health issues
Runt…..
I have a regular Yorkshire Terrier and I would like to breed her with a teacup Yorkie. What will that end me up with?
A poorly bred Yorkie and an unhealthy dog. There is no such thing as a teacup anything. They are typically the runt of the litter. It is a great way to make thousands off a dog who would ordinarily be put down. Thank you, Paris & Britney.
So what you are really asking is, "what will happen if I breed a Yorkie with an unhealthy Yorkie?" The entire point of breeding is to BETTER the breed by improving the genetic stock. Breeding a poorly bred dog does not improve the gene pool.
