theres no such thing as a teacup yorkie…they really are poorly bred runts that will come with many many health issues…
References :
Generally the "teacup" Yorkies are more expensive, however, they technically don't exist. "Teacup" is a word made up by puppy mills and back yard breeders to sell unhealthy runts to unsuspecting people at a higher price than they are worth. Get a regular sized Yorkie…you will be paying less and the pup will have less health problems

there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie as there is no teacup pomerian. look in the breed books and try to find a teacup yorkie

First of all, there are no such thing as teacup breeds. They are just smaller than the standard sized breed of a dog people try to sell for more money, which are usually unhealthy. Anyone advertising teacup breeds I would not recommend buying from. Yorkies usually run from 1,200 – 1,300. Expect more from people who try to sell "teacup" yorkies.

Here, read this and learn the truth! If your "friend" is trying to sell you a "teacup" dog- run away!!

There are no such things as "teacup" yorkies. "Teacup" is a term used by unethical breeders to get ignorant people to buy their dogs.
Here is the breed standard for yorkies: http://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terrier/index.cfm
As far as a price, prices vary greatly depending on the quality of dog you get.
If you are going to get a dog from a breeder, here are some guidelines for telling "good" versus "bad" breeders (a couple of them are papillon pages, but the information given is pretty universal across all breeds).

There are no things as Teacup Yorkie. They are dogs that are badly breed have health problems. They make them so small it seems like their organs won't even work.

Regular size? Teacup? A healthy standard for yorkies is 4 to 7 pounds…If they weigh above standard they should sell as pet quality. And depending of the line for less money. The so called teacup yorkies are just very small below akc standard yorkies and should really sell for less, not more. Trust me when I tell you this you do not want an extra small yorkie. And you really do not want to buy one from a breeder using the phrase, Teacup Yorkie. Standard size show quality or champion sired yorkies. Can cost up to $5000.00 and no lower than $2500.00 Pet quality as a rule cost no more than $1500.00 and as low as $500.00 Now the so called teacup yorkies can cost as much as $8000.00 and as low as $1000.00 Go figure!!!! Because of the demand for these dogs some breeders are deliberately bringing these extra small little souls into this world!!!!! I have really strong feelings about these breeders best not spoken!!!
