micro-mini teacup yorkies?

my friend and i were talking about dogs and i mentioned how much i love my dog, daisy (shes a yellow lab(: ) and she says her "micro-mini teacup" yorkie is better. i told her that yorkies are great dogs, but there is no such thing as a micro-mini teacup anything. she keeps saying how her dog is just one pound and that my 60 pound lab doesnt even compare becuase i cant put her ina purse or anything and its not "fashionable. i brushed it off becuase i love my dog no matter what, lol, but NOW she wants another "micro-mini teacup" yorkie/ i told her that shes thousands more for a runt. what do i tell her? i dont want her to buy a sickly runt with an enormous price, even though she was pretty rude to me. lol what do i do?

Ignore her regarding her getting another dog. Education will cost her thousands over time when she has huge vet bills that will go along with having a sickly little runt.
So you don't tell her anything. She will learn for herself if she goes ahead and buys one. She isn't listening to you anyway.
You tell her that your dog has legs and can walk anywhere and she will carry her dog in her purse for awhile anyway. Besides your Labrador is more to love.
Don't get me wrong here, I love regular size Yorkies and my daughter has a few…not micro minies.

Take her to a surprise trip to a shelter with alot of yorkies. I am sure she will feel bad for them because they are stuck there and possibly adopt one.
It seems that her dogs are more of a fashion statement then a dog.

have her look at puppy mill pictures online. tell her that micro-mini teacup things come from puppy mills and by buying one of these "dogs" only contributes to the abuse, horrible conditions and bad breeding.

Let her learn her lesson the hard way. If all she cares about is which dog is "fashionable" she deserves whatever happens. Enjoy your big healthy Lab.

Get her "micro" dog on a weight scale. I will bet anything that dog weighs more than one pound! (unless it is still a puppy that was sold WAY too early)

Well just tell her that your lab will out live her underbreed small sick dog. Tell her that the Yorkshire Terriers is not meant to be that small. Average weight for the Yorkie 7lbs. Dogs that small don't live that long and they are pron to health problems.

I have a two year old full breed Yorkshire Terrier (no such thing as a tea-cup or micro mini) she is full size, weighs 4.5 lbs, and still fits in my purse….

The tea-cup or Micro-Mini branded breeds means the breeders have worked over several generations by depriving the dogs the nutrients they need to grow maturely and properly… basically they've breed runt and runt until the puppies are smaller and smaller… it's pretty brutal and disgusting if you think about it… But, I love my full-size Yorkie at 4.5 lbs, and I also have a 90 lbs. Great Dane puppy, they get along great!!
