There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie and Yorkies are pretty expensive dogs…I've got two!

Don't be ridiculous! You can't breed a dog with a teacup! Only a teacup with a teacup or a dog with a dog.

ETA: Oh, a "teacup" yorkie at a pet shop, even better! I heard there are some people in Cameroon giving them away for free, maybe you should search Craigslist!

You can't spell "dollars" and you want the responsibility of an under-sized, over-bred, sickly little runt?

    Nice joke.

You don't want to deal with "teacup" any breed! They are runts, sickly dogs that will have a lot of medical problems and will not live very long.

If you like Yorkies – go to a rescue group for Yorkies or a legit breeder that tests their dogs, shows their dogs and gives you guarantees for health and breeds to the written standard.

No such thing!!!! Therefore you can't! I was looking for a Madagascan Flying Doodlehound and was told they don't exist either…

Anyway, wouldn't a MINI TEACUP Yorkie be really REALLY small? You'd lose it in the carpet!

Teacup= over priced, sickly runts. They are premature dogs.
    Don't buy one.

When you buy one of these dogs, you are supporting cruel puppy mills, and BYBS (Back Yard Breeders)
Unlike your little puppy, the parents of that dog will NEVER leave the mill. They are stuck in tiny cages and forced to breed. Most can't even walk properly because the NEVER get exercised.
Do you really want to support that?

There is no such thing as a 'teacup'. They are not recognized as an actual breed size, the smallest breed size recognized is toy. All 'teacup' dogs are are the runts of toy dogs bred together by backyard breeders to create tiny, sickly dogs with a cutesey name tacked on. They are scams, and only backyard breeders breed them.

Please don't support the backyard breeders and mill breeders who produce these poor animals. You will only end up with a short lived, sickly dog that will cost you an absolute fortune in vet bills.

There is no such thing as a 'teacup' dog of any breed. The term 'teacup' is a scam used by irreputable breeders who are looking to make a buck. What you're calling a 'teacup' is simply an ill-bred runt. Here's what the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America has to say about the 'teacup' fad:

An Important Message About “Teacup” Yorkies
If you are interested in purchasing a tiny Yorkie, sometimes called a Teacup,
Micro Mini, Teenie, or any other name that means “extra small”, there are
several things you should consider. The YTCA’s Code of Ethics precludes the
use of the words “teacup”, “tiny specialists”, doll faced, or similar terminology
by its members, and for good reason.
    .
All breeders may occasionally have an unusually small Yorkie (hopefully healthy),
though no responsible breeder breeds for this trait. Many breeders prefer a
general weight range of 4-7 four pounds believing that size retains desired Toy
qualities while maintaining optimum health. The Yorkie Standard states weight
"must not exceed seven pounds" and as a prospective pet owner you should
realize that even at 7 pounds, the Yorkie is still a small dog. (Females weighing
less than 5 pounds are considered by most breeders to be unsuitable for breeding.)
    .
Special circumstances often come with extra tiny dogs. They are extremely
susceptible to both hereditary and non-hereditary health problems, including
birth defects that may go undetected for a long time. Other common
problems may include, but are not limited to, diarrhea, vomiting, along with
extra and expensive tests prior to routine teeth cleanings and surgeries.
Small ones are more likely to have poor reactions to anesthesia and die from
it. Tiny dogs are more easily injured by falls, being stepped on and being
attacked by other dogs. These health problems nearly always result in
    large veterinary bills.
    .
Please take this into consideration and make purchasing a healthy pet your top
priority, not size. The “novelty” is certainly not worth the pain, heartbreak, or
extra expense. Remember, all Yorkies are comparatively small. The most
important thing is finding a healthy puppy that will grow into a healthy adult,
especially since you looking at an 11 to 15 year commitment with your Yorkie.
    .
There is much information on our website. Please take the time to study it
before buying a puppy. We wish you the best of luck.

FYI, we're not being mean, we're being honest. Do you really want an undersized runt that will most likely have numerous health issues and die young?
