No such thing as a "Teacup" breed of anything. Visit AKC.org and look at all the dogs in the Toy Group dogs and try to find any that says they are a "Teacup".

There are NO teacup anythings – that's bad breeder con job to sell you an undersize runt at big prices.
Yorkies are small to begin with, getting runts is stupid and will give you a weak, sick dog.
Go to the AKC site and look at the description of yorkies – there is no size difference in yorkies breaking them down by "teacup" or anything else.

There is really no such thing as a Teacup Yorkie. It is a term commonly used to describe a tiny one. Be aware that the standard for a yorkie is up to 7 pounds. Still a small dog but it won't fit a teacup. That said prices will vary depending on registration, quality, market suppy and demand, etc. no matter where you live. If you do a search you will turn up Yorkies priced anywhere from $500.00 (usually for a larger male) to $3000.00 or more. Average price from a good breeder is around $1500.00 but you can find them as low as $800.00 and as high as you want to go. Good luck in finding the perfect fit for you and your lifestyle.

Tea cup refers to size not breed. No dog should be priced based on it's being a runt. I have no idea the cost on the eastern shore or of what country you are referring.
My Yorkie is seven years old and weights 4lbs. I paid 1700 for him. Hope that helps.

I recommend that you look on here for a low cost Yorkie http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html Just choose your state (I don't know where Eastern shore is), click you city or nearest city, and look in the pets section. Once in a while there are people who have to give away their little dogs, because they are moving, work too much and don't have time for it, or their kids don't take care of it like they promised to do when the dog was bought. They decide to find a home for it themselves instead of surrendering it to a shelter. There are a lot of them that are "re-homed" for $100, too. I'm sure you'll find one soon enough.
