8 month old Teacup Yorkshire Terrier in heat??
I have a 8 month old Teacup yorkshire terrier she just finished her first heat in December the 22 of 2007 I notice that she was bleeding is this regular? she had her first heat when sh was 6 months and how many months does it take between each heat?? HELP!!!
My dog has never been breeded
first, she's not a "teacup".. there is no such thing as a "teacup".. its just a label used by backyard breeders and puppy mills to sell unhealthy undersized runts.
anywhere from 4 months - 1 year is when a female starts her first heat cycle.. bleeding and a swollen vulva are the most common signs of a heat.
Dogs cycles vary.. ussually every 6 months.. some cycle as short as 4 months, and some may cycle every 8 months.. I've heard of some that cycle 12 months. 6 months is the norm tho.
2 months tho is awful short.. you should take her into the vet for an exam. She may have something more serious going on if she's bleeding again.

There is no "teacup" dog.
Dogs go into heat every 6-8 months. Your dog has a problem. See a vet and GET HER SPAYED!!!

Hey yes bleeding is right it is the same as a female person most dogs only go in heat maybe 3 times a year (lucky things) but they just go on heat when there bodys do not like people we can keep track.

Your dog should NOT be in heat again.
Heat cycles usually occur every six months.
If your dog had a heat cycle already in December and it's now 2 months later, I'd be suspecting a possible Pyometra - even though she is young.
Please take her to your vet to rule this out and to find out what is going on, hopefully you'll make an appointment to have her spayed.
