HELP! How much is a teacup yorkshire terrier?
I want one. But i'm concerned about the price.
& where can i get one?
BTW, I live in Hawaii, Oahu! So don't put a shelter or pet store in MICHIGAN or something.
Too much.
The vetting of a dog so tiny will run your pocket book dry.
Also, you would probably "buy" from a breeder, so they will charge you an arm and a leg.
Think of all the dogs in shelters right now that need homes.
I would check your local shelter & you might get lucky & find a dog better than what you're looking for.

There is no such thing as a teacup Yorkie. Irresponsible and unethical breeders breed unnaturally small dogs that will be prone to tons of health problems, and sell them for extravagant prices. You're not paying for a smaller version of a Yorkie. You're paying for a stunted Yorkie that will spend his life at the vet's office.

NOTHING! Because there is no such thing as a T-CUP any breed dog.

..there's no such thing as a teacup ANYTHING!
The only reason you get teacups is through bad, irresponsibly breeding! It leads to underdeveloped bones and other problems. People who want to make money breed the runts together with other runts and so on until they have puppies that are dangerously small.

I believe that "teacup" is not a correct term, I think it is a description made up by unscrupulous breeders to sell weak, smaller dogs. The yorkshire terrier is in the terrier catagory. Not sure if it can be a toy as well, as I only deal with one breed, which isn't registered by the same body as the yorkie.
I'm just saying this as a warning: DON'T BUY FROM ANYONE WHO SELLS "TEACUP" YORKIES… THEIR NOT REAL OR WELL BRED!

well…first of all if you tell a breeder you want a teacup yorkie they will eather laugh or raise the original price. no such thing as a teacup. just a word used to rip people off or when a 2 runts are bred to make unhealthy puppies. breeder in hawii? here:

Nothing as there is no such thing.. That is a gimmick used by irresponsible ignorant back yard greeders and puppy millers to sell their poor quality dogs to people who know and care even less about the dogs than they do. Please do research on Yorkshire Terriers and learn about the breed before being yet another of those that supports irresponsible greeders that add millions to the body piles of dogs every year in this country… (and yeap, Hawaii is part of it too!) Find a responsible breeder or contact the Yorkie rescue to help rehome a dog. Go to the parent club of the breed and read it all - contact them for breeder referal or rescue referal in your area. Do not buy from a pet store as they are simply the middle man for puppy millers as no responsible breeder would allow someone to broker their puppies…
add: Yorkies are NOT in the 'terrier catagory' - they are in the Toy group because all of them are toy dogs which means they are all, or should be if bred properly, very small dogs.

Don't be concerned with the price be concerned with the health of the dog. You want to buy this teeny tiny puppy and it be really unhealthy from a bad breeder or a puppy mill???
Find a breeder who breeds to better the breed and does OFA, CERF and other testing on their dogs.
