How Much Does a Adult Teacup Yorkshire Terrier Weigh?

How big will they get?
How much do they eat?
What is ther bladder tolerence?

They weigh very little
They eat nothing
They have no bladder retention
They sit on shelves or in cupboards.

If you are talking about dogs…….. They are the runts and the sickest of the litters, that Puppy Millers have named something cute to con buyers into paying extraordinary prices for ill-bred dogs

There is no such breed, so there are no breed standards to pass on to you.

A "teacup" dog is just simply two sickly, small, underweight runts bred together. The only thing I can tell you for a fact is that the dog WILL experience several health problems throughout its life. Not to mention that their life expectancy is shorter than a standard Yorkshire Terrier. Yorkies are already a small and delicate dog, why would anyone in their right mind want an even smaller and sicklier version of the breed?

Might as well ask about unicorns. They are non-existent too. Sorry, "teacup" is breeder-speak for poorly bred runt.

no such thing as a "teacup".. that’s just a scam label to jack up the price on a Yorkie.

They come in ONE size only, which can be up to 7 pds.

Small dogs dont eat much.. depends on what brand you feed.

Should be let out to potty every 3-4 hours when you are home to do so.. an adult dog is capable of holding its bladder thru the nite and while you are at work.

There was one on Rachel Ray this morning and it looked to weigh about3 pounds. I don’t think it was full grown yet though. I think they grow to about 4 or 5 pounds.
I wouldn’t feed them more than a quarter cup of food in the morning and then in the evening.
Once trained they should go at least 6 to 8 hours without needing to go out.

Don’t live long, sickly almost from birth, very muuch overproced! Double what a normal sized healthy yorkie would be. I have seen "teacups" advertized for many thousands of dollars.

Teacups is a term bad breeders use to pull the gullible people in.

There is no way to answer this because there is no such thing as a "Tea Cup" breed of dog

It’s just the deliberately breeding of small toys breeds to get the smallest breed and then put a label on them as "Tea cup" They are not healthy.. They come from irresponsible BYB/ puppy mills these dogs are sick unhealthy and can have a long list of medical problems down the road.

Sorry but there is no such animal as a teacup yorkshire terrier. You probably have the runt of a litter. Most runts of the litter are more sickly then their normal size littermates, and their life span is shorter, sometimes on a few years. How big they get depends on how premature they were born. I doubt that they eat very much so trial and error there would be your best guess. Small dog, small bladder, not long, i would imagine. Why did your buy the runt of a litter? Didn’t you know about the health issues? Maybe you should do some research next time before you buy a pup.

    What is a teacup?
If you check the standard they should be a dog upto 6 pounds
other than that no teacup, mini, toy or anything like that
Now I’m not sure about these so called teacup Yorkies but it’s just a name a person gives to usually small dogs however be very careful
I know a person in my area that sells so called teacup chihuahuas
well again standard for a chi is upto 6 pounds this person breeds dogs that are more than double that size and produce pups well over 10 pounds BUT they are sold as teacups.

"Teacup" is a term used for a small dog. It is not a breed. So it depends. I used to have a yorkie who was 2 1/2 lbs full grown. I think it is stupid to say they r unhealthy and its just two skinny mutts bred together. Not true! Sometimes it happens… like short people. We bred my fatty yorkie (she is 5 1/2 lbs) to a male who was her size and we ended up with a dog who was 3 or 4 lbs. But yes, they are usually over priced just because of their size.

There is no such thing as a "teacaup" YT. Teacup is a marketing term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small, generally with no regard to the overall health of the animal. These are the types of breeders you should avoid at all costs. Claiming to have/breed "teacups" is a pretty common red flag associated with breeders.

As far as Yorkshire Terriers go, there are no subgroups based on size. There is ONE standard for the dog…"not to exceed 7 pounds." The AVERAGE size for a well bred Yorkie is 4-7 pounds. Unfortunately, because of the breed’s popularity, many people are jumping on the bandwagon and breeding them with no regard to the standard. As a result, there are Yorkies with sizes/weights all over the scale. (pun intended)
