I really really really want a Teacup Yorkshire Terrier but I cant affod to pay $3000 for one. Any suggestions!?

Get a normal sized Yorkie.

Benefits:
1. You are not supporting a puppy mill or BYB, who are the only people that care little enough about the dogs to breed such unhealthy runts.
2. You are probably saving $1000s in vet bills from common problems teacups, such as: (quoted from http://www.barkrescue.net/teacup.htm)

The risk of open fontanels (soft spot from the cranial bone not forming), portosystemic shunts (PSS- abnormal vessel that allows blood to bypass the liver. As a result the blood is not cleansed by one of the bodies filters: the liver.), hypoglycemia, cardiac problems, collapsing trachea, luxating patellas, Leggs Calves Perthes disease, seizures, hydroencephaly, blindness and digestive problems can be increased in these tiny babies.

Problems such as respiratory problems can remain or worsen throughout their lives. These babies frequently are so fragile that they do not live more than a few years. There have been several tiny Yorkies as adults who still had open fontanels and their owners had to carry nourishment with them all the time. Their vets have felt it unsafe to give a full dose of vaccine so the puppies had to get several injections to be on the safe side.

3. You are saving thousands on the initial cost. "Breeders" of teacups sell them so high because they can. They breed for the money, not the dogs' health. They're a scam. You can rescue a healthy yorkie for less than $300.
4. A broken heart if your teacup, like many teacups, doesn't even make it to its first birthday.

Surely a few more pounds is worth that?

Teacups are just sickly runts! Why would you want a sickly runt?

Yeah, instead of falling for the scam of "teacups" from backyard breeders, buy a real yorkshire terrier from a reputable breeder. You'll not only pay a lot less, you'll actually get a healthy dog you'll be happy with.

Buy a well-bred Yorkie from a responsible breeder instead of a teacup plagued with disease. Do some research. http://www.ytca.org/

Get a Yorkie from a reputable breeder who does not toss around the "teacup" term as a selling point.

Google Yorkie rescues in your area.

Go get a regular one(no teacup) or check your shelters..
but first read up throughly on dogs before getting one since if you read up on dogs you'll find teacups are made up by BYB & Puppy mills and are not as healthy…

ADD:
Ah, I see a Back yard breeder or a person running a puppy mill has come by to thumb down answers…

and I see either a BYB or a puppy mill operator has come by to offer up their poorly bred puppies..

Search http://www.petfinder.com for a homeless Yorkie. Adoption won't be nearly that much, the dog should be medically cleared (at least, you'll have a better chance of getting a healthy dog than if you bought a "teacup" puppy), and you will give a home to a needy dog.

You REALLY REALLY REALLLY want a poorly bred sickly runt?
Why would you want that?
And I would NEVER pay 3000 dollars for a sickly runt.
Go to a shelter…You'll find lots of dogs…Big and small.

Don't buy a poorly bred runt! There is no such thing as a "Teacup" anything! That is a term used by puppy mills and bybs to get rid of sickly dogs while making huge profits. As often as not, dogs sold as "teacups" end up being BIGGER than the standard allows (they get away with it because only uneducated buyers would look for "teacups") and if they are truly tiny, they have horrific health problems that will cost you several thousand dollars more. Do your research and find a breed that suits your life, not just one that you think is super cute. Once you do that, find a reputable breeder or rescue.

Honestly I wouldnt get a dog that cost that much because there are so many cute lovable dogs at the pound that need homes.
The terrier you want wont have a problem finding a good home but dogs from the pound need homes too, and if you go almost every day you may find a full bred 'teacup' or a kind that is like it because they have tons of dogs coming in and out every day sometimes they escape from home or they are abandoned.

better save a dogs life adopt one, say NO 2 PUPPY MILLS
MOSTLY ALL breeders have those unsane methods to "produce" more puppies and this animals suffer a lot, the breeders live them in cages 4 all their life until they dont" work" the dogs r throw like trash
this animals have many deseases and it cost u more 2 have 1 of this animals

As others have said, a "teacup" is a poorly bred runt that you would be paying big bucks for.

There is no such thing as a teacup or tiny teacup any kind of dog. This is just a special name to grab people's attention and to get more money for the runt of the litter. Find a reputable breeder and pay a reasonable price for a regular size pup. We got our Yorkie earlier this year for 375.00. She now weighs 18.5 pounds.

There is a lot more to getting a dog than just wanting one. They are expensive to feed and vet bills can be high. They need training. Both potty training and to be obedient. Someone is going to have to pay for the cost of care even if a puppy was free.

Hi.

A great place to adopt a yorkie would be through a website called,
"1-800-save-a-pet.com". My sister-in-law got an adorable dog through them.

Some other good sites are:
"posh pets rescue"
"giveadogahome.com"
"petorphan"
"proudtoadopt"
"tinytreasuresrescue.com"
"adoptapet.com"

teacup breeds are super delicate!!

good luck in your search!

Teacups are dogs from backyard breeders who just want money and don't care who they hand their dog over to. 3000 is a very large amount for a dog. Get one from a breeder or adopt one from a shelter and truth be told, it would be better if you got one (from shelter or breeder) then from a backyard seller who tells you that a teacup is a real breed.

Dont.
My sister fell for the teacup scam. the poor dog has heart problems that prevent her from being safely spayed, she has hip problems that cause her pain when she walks and if she ever got pregnant (remember she cant be spayed) it could kill her.

thats what you get when you buy a teacup yorkie.
Yorkshire terriers are small dogs, there is no need to make them smaller. a yorkie from a reputable breeder sells for about $1200

T-cup yorkies don't exist, but I have occasionally sold puppies ranging in size from 2 to 6 pounds full grown. They are not T-Cups, just small or standard yorkies. No price difference, but very picky about who I will ever sell one of my small yorkies to as they do have to be cared for differently than the 4-7 pound ones. Less time to treat any illness, more money spent on just regular illness due to the tiny size, vet care is a must very quickly.

There isn't any teacup yorkies or any other type breed. Find you a reputable breeder and buy a dog from them. Here is a link to breeders to help and the 2nd site will give you all the information you might need about yorkies.
