What Dog Should I Get?

I am thinking about getting another dog. I already have a 2 1/2 year old puppy named Lucy. She is a Cocapoo.( However you spell it!) I am trying to decide between a tiny teacup Yorkshire Terrier or a tiny teacup Maltese. Which one would be better for my puppy to get along with?

Huskeys dont get on well with little dogs lol, i would say the Yorky because Maltese’s can be tempermental

how about a healthy sized dog from the shelter?

‘teacup’ is a term for ‘runt’ which is the smallest for a reason

so 2 runts make a litter of unhealthy puppies

Yorkies are insanely popular, but a Maltese is much more friendly.

I personally want a bull terrier!

I think either would be too small for your Cockapoo. I say, go to a shelter and meet some loving dogs who deserve a home. You can even bring your dog to see how they get along. It’s cheaper, and you’d be saving a life.

One, there is no such thing as a Cocapoo – your dog is a mutt, plain and simple.

Two, there is no such thing as a “Tiny” or “Teacup” anything – they are runts, bred to runts, bred to runts.

Both your dog and the dogs you seemingly want are probably unhealthy and riddled with genetic problems. No reputable breeder would cross breeds OR breed dogs under breed standard. Good job on supporting the irresponsible ones.

In response to your question: If your dog is properly socialized then she will get along with any breed of dog that is introduce properly.

sorry to break it to you, but there is no “Teacup yorkie” or any dog for that matter.
the truth is they are just tiny unhealthy runts that breeder try to make a buck off of.
go to the shelter and save a life please.

here is a link that proves theres no such thing as a “teacup”

    neither..

there’s no such thing as a “teacup” anything. That’s a marketing ploy used by irresponsible breeders to sell unhealthy runts for a high price.

Yorkies and Maltese only come in ONE size.. there are no “tiny” “teacup” “mini” “toy” “micromini” “pocket” or any other sizes available.

yorkshire terriors generally are friendlier dogs, but i think both of them would be good since your other dog is small too.

heres a site with alot of info on them – http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/yorkshireterriers.html

and heres a site on the maltese (: http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.com/maltese-puppy.html

I would recommend that you go to the pound since there are plenty of dogs who need a loving home.

i would go to the pound and get one. those dogs in there are so sad and they do not get attention.save a life and you will be rewarded for your good deed somewhere in life.its always nice to do the right thing.and think of the mid aged dogs.nobody buys them everybody buys the puppies and thats not nice.the dogs that are mid aged and old never get bought so they get put to sleep. look for a dog that looks well behaved , do not get one that were abused recently they usually are agressive.i once had a abused dog and any man/boy it saw it attacked.look at the bright side, they are cheaper and you'll feel good =)

i hope you make the right choice!! LOVE ~ tReE HuGgEr <3

    1. A cocapoo is a mutt…an overpriced mutt
    2. Teacups do not exist, if you have a breeder selling you a “teacup” they are trying to play on your want for a “designer” dog
    3. If you don’t want to go to a shelter, find a good breeder. One that doesn’t promised “teacup” sized dogs. Yorkies and Maltese are small enough as is.

I think you should get the Yorkie. They're so adorable and they don't shed AT ALL! So that's a good thing. :D
I have a Yorkshire Terrier named Vespucci (not a teacup) and he's really great with all other dogs. He's a little bigger than Yorkies are supposed to be, but I love him so much!
And they're so fun to teach tricks!

Today is actually his 3rd birthday.

(And I would recommend getting a regular sized Yorkie. Less health problems. Teacup Yorkies are not a recognized breed or size of Yorkie.)
