Where can I find teacup Yorkie's?
I want to get a teacup yorkshire terrier soon and i've been looking around but do you know any website where i can find yorkshire terriers.
Please make sure it's not a scam.
Thanks!
Please read AKC guidelines. Those dogs which are bred as "teacup" suffer serious health issues. This is because they are bred too small.

Please read AKC guidelines. Those dogs which are bred as "teacup" suffer serious health issues. This is because they are bred too small.

There is no reliable website to buy puppies because the only people that will sell over the web are puppy mills and backyard breeders that sell sick and dying pups.
Also, stay away from anything that breeders label as "teacup." There is no such thing as a teacup. It's just something unethical breeders call the too small dogs and generally they are unhealthy and they charge more for something that should be called "vet bills" rather than "teacup."
You can locate a good Yorkie breeder on a reliable website like akc.org, but do not BUY online.

my dear i hate to tell you this. but anyone selling teacup yorkies or any other breed is scamming you. there is no such thing as teacup. it's a term used to refer to a breeder who breeds smaller than normal dogs. or is selling a too small puppy. what teacup means is not healthy. that is the litteral translation from reputable breeder to backyard breeder. they are a toy breed, they are meant to be small. the reason the breed standard doesn't call for them to be smaller is because they are not healthy. if you are looking for a healthy yorkie that will be long lived and have a nice temperment and not come from someone who doesn't have the sense to boil rice let alone breed dogs. you need to go to http://www.akc.org look up yorkie's and read about the breed. research the breed, know their basic temperments, health issues and what to ask a breeder. once you are overinformed about the breed. look at the breeder page. there you will find registered breeders with the akc. and you will know the questions to ask and how to tell if they're a reputable breeder from the vast amount of knowledge you've filled your head with during your research. also never buy a yorkie from a breeder that won't let you see where the pups are born and raised and at least one parent. a good breeder will be more than happy and proud to show you their accomodations. good luck in your research and finding of a good healthy well tempermented puppy.

The scam would be anyone trying to sell you a "Teacup" any Toy breed! The only true Teacup is something you pour tea into. With a Toy breed some people will breed them down meaning undersized. They have many health problems. So please go to http://www.akc.org and fine a responsible breeder in your area. Maybe they have a runt that they'll sell you one with a Spay/Neuter agreement. What is most important is that you get a healthy puppy. All the best:~)

I would listen to previous responses in regards to your specific breed, but if you are looking for a dog, petfinder.com is a very reputable source.

Look on petfinder.com. They usually have a lot of Yorkies. Don't use puppyfind or those other online breeder scams. I've heard so many bad things about dogs from that site.

There's no such thing as a teacup Yorkie.Yorkie breeders follow strict guidelines for their dogs to even be considered a Yorkie, one of which is that the Yorkie should weigh around 4-7lbs. Less is compromising the health of the dog and no decent breeder would do that for a trend. My puppy is 6lbs now and 5mos old and I still struggle not to squash him! I looked in the classifieds because the dogs were local and I could check out the litter and their living conditions.I don't recommend looking online too much because I just ran into scam after scam. akc.org lists a few breeders but you might pay more. $1000+ vs. the $735 I paid. Whatever you do ask a lot of questions and do not buy sight unseen.

No, YOU make sure it is not a scam
YOU are the one looking for a dog. YOU spend the time and effort
And…if YOU want to make sure it is not a scam….I can tell you anyone advertising or promoting teacup yorkies IS a scam artist
and…..DO NOT BUY A PUP ONLINE AND HAVE IT SHIPPED….that is a scam
there is no such thing…unless you are describing a poor runt of a litter
