Also she is overwhelmed when one of the kids picks it up to play with her and she whines when she looses it and cant find it…Its almost like she is mothering it and looks at it as her own pup? Has anyone ever had this situation happen and can better help me understand whats going on with her? Im kind of worried about her its almost like she is in constant distraught over it.
Yes it is normal for some female dogs to do this. Everytime my pit bull would go into heat she would get out of the fence and run through the neighborhood stealing other dogs toys, esp. stuffed animals. She would bring them back and put thim in her dog house. She is prob. trying to mother them like my dog did.

my dog was obsessed with a toy and wen she playd with it a lot..she got bored of it and i chucked it away.
This happened wen i got another dog and she found him as a big brother..get another dog if u can afford it or keep ur dog with u inside.
