what's the advantages/disadvantages to owning a toy yorkie?
a lot of pure bred dogs, have health problems, form inbreeding, and yorkies are very high maintenance dogs, and can be very hyper. the upsides though are that since they are so small they don't need much room to run and yorkies are very loyal dogs

I would assume that just the name itself would be a disadvantage.

They are a heart break in the waiting. Because most are 1 to 2 pounds generally they have heart/lung/kidney defects that shorten their lives. Liver shunts, Heart failure, kidney failure are big ones. Also they generally have large soft spots. Also bones are frail and can easily be broken. Vet bills generally get up into the 10,000s
NO dog needs to be 1 to 2 pounds, Its only greedy humans that purposely breed theses runts, that think that way. Dogs are not fashion accessories and its a shame that the only purpose that these runts are bred for are because idiotic humans what them so they can dress them up and put them in a bag.
