which is better, a toy poodle or a yorkie?

there is no one breed that is better. it depends on the person and their needs so i cant answer this question. u need to make a list of qualities u want in a dog and then research both breeds and find out which breed better fits ur lifestyle.

I actually have a Yorkie Poo. Cross between the both. A very good dog. Very Sweet. Mine does not bark much at all, no shedding, and very loving. If you can't pick, choose both!

search the web and find out. both breeds are nice but it depends on what the dog habits are. would u like having a very unruly cute puppy, or an average looking dog who is very loyal and obeys you. find out wherever you are going to get the dogs from.

well breeds aren't better than eachother. they just have different personalities and characteristics. Toy poodles are very fun dogs that like to play a lot and yorkies are the same but i would prefer the poodle.

Well, it depends on what you are looking for. A Yorkie is a terrier, so they may be a bit more Hyper. Poodles are suppose to be very intelligent and easier to train.

Yorkies are a little more prone to healthy problems. My mother has a Yorkie and she has a lot of digestive problems.

My good friend has a black toy poodle named noodle and he is so cute. He's a year old. They havent mentioned any problems with him at all. He seems to be a great dog. Adorable to say the least. Poodles are the second most intelligant dog breed in the U.S. next to sheep dogs. ( the smartest in the whole world Im not sure of ) I have a cockapoo wich is half toy poodle and he is a doll. Very smart and very loving not to mention a great play pal. My choice would be the toy poodle. I always go to http://www.dogbreedinfo.com when Im curious about a dog breed.

Defiantly A Yorkie Yes they both need grooming but Yorkies allot less and they are less susceptible to sunburn and other illnesses and they are not as fragile as a Poodle
Do your research with AKC and local breeders and get results and also ask local Vets and you can weigh your odds there But I am a Yorkie breeder and I know they are excellent pets
