Yorkie Owners: What Can I Fill a Kong Toy With?

something that wont upset his stomach?
he is 11 weeks old, name is Petey Parker…
regular store bought peanut butter? any certain brand?
he doesnt seem to like the ziggies

natural peanut butter, cheese, lunch meat, hot dogs, cottage cheese, ice cubes… if you want to make a mess, plug the small end with cheese or hot dog, fill the kong with something like chicken broth and cut up chicken, and freeze it in the freezer. Dog heaven. For the record, I don't have a yorkie.

Peanut butter, thats what a lot of people use to fill their kongs. Dogs love it, and it doesn't hurt their stomachs.

i dont own a yorkie however i do work at a pet store and we sell kongs all the time ….. my suggestion to you is get he treats that go with them called ziggies for puppies they are specifically for puppies …… however if you dont want anything crunchy for him you could get the canned filler that is sold at PetSmart and fill it with either that or peanut butter ( any kind), or regular puppy treats

    good luck !!!!!!!!

Instead of filling the entire toy, you can use a knife to just smear the insides and then freeze it to make it last a bit longer. He still has to work on it so he gets something to do.

I like cream cheese because it doesn't have the sugar that regular peanut butter does although you can use the natural pb without added sugar.

I like jamming a piece of broccoli in there because it makes it harder to get other things out so it all lasts longer. Sometimes apples and carrots. Nothing that I have found so far though freezes as hard as meat.
