Tomorrow i’m going to the pound to adopt a couple of dogs. My mom is getting a Rat-cha and her dog barks alot, she was looking for something to warn me if anything was coming. I wanted something a little big more quieter and that was cute. I’m torn between an all black yorkshire terrier named Lewis and a toy Chihuahua named Daniel. So i wanted to know which one would be the best choice? When i visited Lewis, he wagged his tail at me (i’m assuming that’s a good sign). I specifically looking for something small because i stay in an apartment and the last dog we had, i ended up giving to my uncle because he was too heavy and was more of a house dog. So which dog do you think would be best for a teenage girl?
awww…… they both sound adorable!!! probably lewis though!!

lewis!

I would pick the chihuahua, but that’s just me. it depends on smartness, lovability, stuff like that, not to mention if it’s cute or not….

I’m assuming you are adopting from a shelter and not a backyard breeder? No such thing as an all black Yorkie! And no such thing as a "toy" Chihuahua unless you buy it from Toys R Us or Walmart.
Both dogs will bark a lot – most toy breeds do. As long as the dogs are spayed/neutered that is what matters most.

a stuffed one.
your getting a dog for the wrong reasons. people get dogs to be a new bes friend and compainonship. they are not toys or alarms or things we give up. they are living and breathing and thinking beings and u are not resposnsible. they need walks, expenzive vet, toys, food, time, love, bed etc…..
go to walmart and buy a security camera or somthing

What the h3ll is a Rat-cha? You’ll have to get the Yorkie, as there is NO such thing as a Toy Chihuahua, so there is NO decision to be made.

TOY CHIHUAHUA I have 2 and i LOVE them VERY much

A "toy chihuahua" usually doesn’t get any bigger than 5 or 6 lbs. Small toy dogs these sizes are more likely to develop health problems because their bones & organs are so small. That’s something you’ll need to consider. Also Chihuahuas ARE house dogs and they do bark a lot. However with all that being said Chihuahuas are very loveable and protective of their owners,

toy chihuahua…there is such thing and they fit in the palm of your hand I know from exsperience. these ppl that say there is no such thing are idiots…really! Chi Chi’s what I call them arent very rambunctious but will throw a fierce bark. Thet generally wont distroy your stuff by chewing it to pieces. I have owned about 5 through my life thus far and not one of them has ever chewed on stuff not even as a puppy. The most one weighed was 3 lbs, very cute and very lovable dogs
Yorkies on the other hand please do research on their behavioral patterns/habbits through the internet before getting one, my mom has owned 2 and got rid of both of them for the reason stated above…distroying stuff. They even started chewing our wooden tables at the bottom. Yet I have never seen a complete black one doesnt necesarily mean that it couldnt be possible.

haha toy chihuahua…ur better of gettin a yorkii….

I’m assuming that the Rat-Cha is a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix…be prepared that this mix could be disastrous..it could be very hyper, very barky, very stubborn and hard to train. it likely would not be a good mix for an apartment dog.
As far as the Yorkie..there is no all black purebred Yorkies so either 1) it’s not a purebred Yorkie or 2) it’s a totally different breed
Now for the Chihuahua……a Chihuahua is a Chihuahua is a Chihuahua regardless of size…there is no toy, no teacup, no micro or any other such add on. All Chihuahuas belong to the toy group.
No one here can tell you what would be the best choice for you..we don’t know you, we don’t know your life style, your personality, etc and we’ve never met any of the dogs…you are the only one that can decide for sure which dog if any would be right for you.
