WHY the BLANK did you get a SELECTIVELY BRED for hundreds years to HAVE a long flowing silky coat ,if you're just going to BUTCHER IT????

Top-knots are combed/divided from outer corner of eye to inner corner of ear & across the back of the skull, gathered UP & rubber-banded.

I'd recommend calling a local dog groomer. Ask them if they'd mind letting you watch them groom her. They may be able to teach you how to put the dog's hair up like you want it. They might also be able to share some tips on how to get her to like taking a bath.

If you're not a trained groomer yourself, cutting her fur could be rather tricky. You don't want to have her get stressed out and nip you or accidentally hurt her with the scissors if she starts to squirm. Cutting her fur should probably be left up to the groomer.

Making topknots is pretty tricky. Just remember, practice makes perfect…keep trying and you'll get the hang of it.
