I Need Help Asap- My Dog Is Very Sick!!?

my yorkie is only 10 months old. he always eats cesars dog food but lately my mother has been in town and she has been feeding him human food. his stomach has been hurting, he hasnt been eating right, he threw up twice this morning, and today when we got home from work he had a huge clump of poop stuck on his butt and when we cut the hair back he just kept farting and little drops of poop fell out. now his butt hole is totally stretched out and wide out and he is very tired and weak. what should i do? will he be fine in a little? should i take him to the emergency vet?

You do not say in your question if the 'little drops' of poop were liquid or formed. If these were liquid, then what is making your dog tired is the vomiting and diarrhea. If the 'drops' were solid, it sounds as though your dog had an obstruction, but it was not from the people food directly, it was from the sticky poop causing build up in the fur that created an obstruction that prevented your dog from defecating further. Since you have removed the obstruction, and if your dog is able to drink water, he should start to feel better soon as long as he is able to continue to relieve himself, if an obstruction is the problem. If your dog is dehydrated from vomiting and loose stools, and you are unable to get him to a vet for some reason, our vet has recommended kaopectate for our dogs before for those symptoms in our pet dog. Activated charcoal is also helpful if your pup has eaten something prohibited for dogs.
Also, if your dog has eaten any raisins or grapes, you must take him to the vet immediately before further damage results (raisins and grapes, as well as chocolate, are toxic to dogs.)

It sounds like he could have a blockage somewhere. Troubling getting food in and out. I would take him to the vet for sure and do not feed people food or suddenly change brands.

You should definitely take him to the emergency vet. And bring your mother with you so that SHE can tell the vet exactly what she has been feeding him. He's probably fine, but I wouldn't take any chances. It's very difficult on a dog's intestines to have to process many different protein sources. She's likely made him sick (with only the best of intentions) with all the rich and various food. I would also switch him from Cesars dog food to something high quality or at least quality. Here's a good food article:

Good luck. I know it's hard, but try not to worry too much.

You should definently take him to the vet because it could be very serious… but if these problems start to get better over the next couple of days… even hours then you should probably just let the problems run their course, but if these problems continue, i would definently take him to the vet. ALSO, DONT FEED HIM ANY MORE HUMAN FOOD!!!!

Check if you are missing one of your socks.
This sounds a bit different than dog affected by human crap.
Anyway, I'd take him to the emerg right away.

VET NOW! Small dogs that get scraps usually end up with Pancreatitis, which is a serious illness. He'll need to be on I.V. fluids for a day or so, and , if that's what he has, they'll tell you not to feed him for 2-3 DAYS. Yeah, I know it sounds cruel, but that's how they get better.

… and tell your mom NEVER to feed him scraps again. Little breeds can't handle fatty foods.

Sounds like you're going to end up with a vet bill. Sorry!

    Hope he feels better!

You'll have to see a vet either way, one to check if damage was done with the stretching, and two to find out what caused it. There may be an obstruction or he may be constipated. If there was a change in his diet, that would not be surprising.

well honestly these signs aren't good. wrost case scenario would be pancreatitis due to the the fatty people-food he's been getting.

chances are he has some wicked diarrhea an stomach upset due to the diet change. With such a little dog a little diarrhea can dehydrate him pretty quickly. I would call an emergency place first…they can be really pricey, btu at the same time he's so little and fragile that you can't be wasting much time deciding what to do. Good luck and call that vet asap!

Hon, get him into the vet STAT..diarrhea can dehydrate a dog rapidly..you stated he is already weak and tired? A sure sign of needing help now…He can't hold his bowels properly?..He's in trouble..With all you've stated…there are so many possibilities, and none are good, so…All in All…You need to take any animal in for proper medical attention with Diarrhea and Weakness…IF you want to SAVE your BABY..GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ~~ NOW!!
My BEST to you and your Lil Fur-Faced Babe…do not trust your mother with your baby again..sheesh!!
