I want to get my yorkie's hair cut into a puppy cut or a lion cut. What should I ask the groomer for?

I would ask for a puppy cut. A lion cut is where you remove all the hair from the shoulder blades back and leaving a mane and a little patch of fur on its tail and bottom of feet.
Tell the groomer you want your yorkie to look like a puppy. They should know what you mean. Also you dont want much tooken off. I never use blades on a puppy cut only scissors.

Just ask for a puppy cut…but you might want to be a little specific on the length you want. Most groomers will know what you want and may even ask you how much hair you are looking to have left on the dog

if you ask for a puppy cut, let them know how much you want left. A puppy cut is essentially just a cut that leaves the same length all over. It doesn't specify the length. What looks perfect to one person, could look shaved to another, and what looks good to someone, could look way too long for another. Be very specific. Even bring in pictures to help give them an idea.

i have been grooming for 40 years now and a lion cut is for cats, but just tell your groomer you want a puppy cut they will understand and explain what length you would like, but personally i think yorkshire terriers are the best looking with their breed standard cut. bitch
