I got a yorkie bout a month ago he is like my best friend I work third shift so he sleeps with me during the day always cuddling with me I have a cat collar on him when I walk around his little bell tingles behind me, i have yet to hear him bark, hes awesome! However the breeders that I bought him from didn't take good care of his skin he had matts all over in his hair, so I had to do a hair cut and he has dandruff so bad i'm always picking at his loose flakes. I bought dog oatmeal shampoo for sensitive skin but haven't seen much of an improvment any other yorkie owners had this issue??

When dogs go under stressfull conditions, their skin with become dry and flakey. This is prbably because of the breeders you got him from. Try to just give him alot of love and maybe alittle bit of eggs. Eggs are good for a dogs coat, but since it is a small dog, try to share about half of an egg with him. He should be fine though.

Oatmeal shampoo will help, however I find that good quality dog food is the best choice to change it's overall health. I feed my Chihuahua Royal Canin (get a brand from Petco or Petsmart). Good dog food helps with brain development in puppies, digestion, dry and flaky skin. It will also make your yorkie's coat shine!
