Dolly, my little teacup yorkie, is 2.5lbs and full of energy! I try to comb her as often as possible but I don't get to do it as much as I'd like. Her hair gets tangled so fast! I was thinking of getting her hair groomed to be short, except longer on the feet and face… (some horses have hair in this style).

What do you call this style and is it okay for little yorkies to be cut this way?
NO NO NO!!! You will create matting between the toes. There will be poo & pee and all kinds of yard stuff in the hair and MATTS MATTS MATTS!!! You need to take her to the groomer every 4-6 weeks. Yorkies as pets are clipped in a varity of styles, but even the full coated show groomed yorkies have trimmed feet. A tiny little dog like this should cost you about 25 dollars to get groomed. When in doubt, make an appointment with a reputable groomer, then ask if you can watch to see how it's done. Your groomer will know the proper way to groom her. ^ ^

this style has no name. you can ask for this haircut, it will look stupid, but thats your choice. and she will still get natted everywhere that is long if you dont brush. either accept that you have to rush gthis dog everyday, or keep the hair really short. this dog should be professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks no matter what haircut you want.
EDIT** someone below me mentioned a puppy cut. this is not a style. it means something different to every groomer, and you will more than likely not get what you want.

The style looks good. While spayed my Yorkie. The vet trim my Yorkie's front let for IV. My son likes that style very much. But this does still tangle.
I used CowBoy magic detangle and shine on my Yorkie when I brush her, her hair does not mat and tangle any more.

I think the easiest thing to maintain is the puppy cut- its just kind of 1/2" long all over. I used to trim mine myself with the #3 blade on the clippers- can't say they looked very professionally done, but it was a lot easier to deal with than all that hair.
