OMG:( I Cut My Yorkie Puppies Hair to Short?

Okay so my puppie yorkie go into something and had mats all over her tummy, I cut way to far up onto her site. I feel so bad, I did it to her. Please how long does it normaly take a 12 week old yorkies hair to grow back
Sorry, my key bored is messed up, so sorry for spelling ^^

Don’t worry about it, dogs don’t care about their appearance. It’s better to have the mats out, just be careful when cutting mats out because you can easily cut their skin.

Hair growth varies from dog to dog. But seeing as how your is so young it should grow back relevantly fast. And you should feel bad. You did the right thing cutting the matting off. I bet your puppy is alot happier.

Aww, lol! I’m not sure exactly how long it takes their fur to grow back, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You can always bring her to a dog groomer and have them even her fur out. I doubt your dog cares about her appearance. She’s probably feeling a lot better without the mats in her fur.

1/2 and inch per month. It takes a month to grow 1/2 and inch of hair. Sorry if this question doesn’t work ?

i dont know, but its ok, hmm, to cover the short coat up a fun idea is to go to petco or some pet place and buy a cute little jacket or sweater for you pooch.

Don’t worry. Your dog doesn’t mind. As long as you got ALL of the mats off of her she will be perfectly fine. If you miss a mat it could get larger and will become extremely painful. Do not EVER try brushing a dogs mats out! Mats start to pull at the dogs skin and that’s what makes it so painful and if you try brushing them out while the skin is tender from the mat pulling at it, it would be like someone pulling YOUR hair for 2 hours. Next time you can just take your dog to a groomer, and I STRONGLY suggest a pet store groomer, and then they can even out the dogs hair so the cut doesn’t look as bad. However, I don’t think your dog minds, just as long as she’s happy and mat-free.
