Since everyone has a different interpretation of the names of cuts. The best thing to do is to print the photo and take it with you to the groomers.

My groomer called it the "Puppy Cut"….short all over but longer around face….but not real long. She wore it all her 14 years, looks great always!

Those are puppies and they probably haven't even been groomed yet.

Yep, that's a "puppy cut".
And yes, please DO keep that cut on your adult Yorkie. Unless you're showing your dog in conformation (where the long hair is required), there's no reason not to keep it shorter.
Wayyyy cuter anyway, I think.

Many different hair cuts out there (and names).
But the one you are referring to is DEF a puppy cut

That's isn't a haircut. Those are yorkie puppies that haven't have any hair removed. Sorry but you aren't going to be able to that clip done to your dog.
Most yorkie either get a teddy bear clip & if they have prick ears – a westie head or they get a westie clip. Depending on their ears if dropped for are several different options – leaving long, trimming around the ear or tipping the ear like prick. Your groomer can get you different options based on what your dog looks like & what needs to be downplayed & highlighted.

I have a Yorkie as you can tell by my name. I keep her cut very short because the "breed standard" is very difficult to maintain and can be uncomfortable for the dog. The cut in your picture is a puppy cut but cannot always be achieved on an adult because the hair texture changes as the dog ages. Yorkies are usually born with some degree of curl or wave to their fur but the texture can change in time. Some Yorkies do maintain a slight wave or curl but most are straight which is how the "breed standard" style is maintained.
My groomer is unable to achieve this look on my dog because her hair is straight and silky. I get a similar look but without the waves. To achieve this exact cut your Yorkie's hair would need to have some curl or wave to the texture.
