I have a female yorkie i would like to cut her hair short how do u suggest i do that please dont say take her to the groomer i want to do it by myself
The easiest thing to do is to take her to the groomer and then you can maintain the hair cut. I have 3 dogs and have tried grooming them myself, they wind up lopsided and with patches of hair missing, I wind up frustrated and covered in dog hair.

Buy yourself some electric clippers. Start by going all over with the longest comb on, then take it from there.
If your dog is nervous let her sniff the clippers before you turn them on, then let her get used to the bizz before you touch her with them.
If she tries to get away don’t get cross with her, just ignore the behaviour, put her back where she needs to be and have some treats on hand to reward her for being good and standing still.
With a smaller dog its easier if you put her up on a table. Cover it with a towel and have a bag or bin on hand to collect the cut hair before it goes everywhere.
Use small scissors to trim the ears and round the toes.
If you need to bath, do it after the cut.
Keep the hair as long or short as you and your dog are comfortable with – if you’re not showing her then you don;t need to be a slave to fashion!

Well I would suggest the groomer but OK. Well just use a comb and a scissor cutting it. But be careful you could hurt her not knowing it. But I till think you should ask the groomer just to be safe. Hope I’ve helped!!!

Ok I know you want to do it yourself but I would take her to the groomer once…only once to see how short they cut it like around their face and stuff. I have a Yorkie too and we take her to the groomer and she just gets like a really short cut and it’s really cute. Hope this helped.
