Yorkshire Terrier HELP!?
OK. first of all I know this has nothing to do with beauty or style or whateva.but you dont get that many answers there.can please help it would really help me.
So i've read in interent that they are long haired dogs and they way about 5-6 lb (1.5kg) but my yorkie is short haired and shes already like 5-6 months old she still has short hair (didn't have to cut it once) and she ways like 5 kg and the vets are not saying nothing is wrong with her.
please help. is this really a yorkshire terrier? or are different type of breed of yorkshire terrier?
thnaks those were really helpfull and the first person my yorkie is starting to go bald so maybe you're right. and we do still love her all the same
thanks
but all of your suggestions were great.
and also we paid lilke £500 for the puppy many people have been saying that we might of been conned
do you think thats possible?
sorry
*bald and grey
I had a giant Yorkie (Smudge - RIP) who weighed around 8-10kg. His hair was medium length and colour. There are several breeds of Yorshire terrier (from miniature to giant), so there is nothing at all wrong with her. My mother-in law has a tiny one with very long hair who weighs next to nothing and has very long legs. I would say he weighs around 0.5kg. She used to have another smallish one with much shorter, darker hair who weighed around 5kg. They come in all shapes & sizes but have fantastic characters. I'm sure that yours is a genuine Yorkie. There are no 'standard' characteristics unless it falls into a particular category. Enjoy the life you have with your Yorkie. I miss mine so much xx

it could be a silky terrier, but some of them don't have long hair until they get to be about a year old, and silky terriers are a higher breed, you should look at them, and even if the dog isn't pure bred, you should love her the same even if she's not, when you bought her you made a committment.
this is a silky terrier puppy:
