>>>I Need Help Finding a Good Breed of Small Dogs.(maltese, Shih Tzu, Morkie Types)?

I have grown up owning and taking care of small dogs so i have done plenty of research on the personalities of the breeds i am looking mostly at. i love the maltese, yorkie, and shih tzu pups because of their fur (and of course their cute faces) but when they get older their hair grows out and it is (in my opinion) not very flattering…is there any way to prevent this by giving them a haircut? is there any breed whose hair i wont have to cut? here are some links to some pictures of puppies i have been admiring…

maybe i should try looking for a teacup breed. i love the thought of having a dog that stays a puppy forever. thank you so much for your help! any feedback would be much appreciated.

One thing (not trying to be rude just warning you). Teacup puppies are NOT real. they are runts from back yard breeders, and will have a lot of health problems.

I love maltese, shih tzu, and yokies too. Yes you can keep their hair short just when you go to the groomers just say "I want the puppy cut" they will know what you are talking about cause you know when they are like 6 weeks which you showed in the pictures… That hair cut, "Puppy cut". And it will be the hair cut as they had as a puppy. Get it? Haha.

Good luck!!

EDIT- I realized you said rec amend some, Well, get a Cockapoo!!! Heres some pictures,

I think you should try for a teacup also. My teacups dont grow hair at all and no haircuts are necessary. I just stack them in the dishwasher and press "ON" a couple of times a week.

Have you considered a Cocker Spaniel? Although they need to be groomed, they keep their puppy look forever. They are intelligent, somewhat stubborn dogs. Very sturdy and love to cuddle. My vet does say they "like to bite", but mine only bites when he suspects he’ll be bitten first or of course if you try to take something from him without asking nicely first.

Don’t waste your money on "teacup" any breed – they are runts full of medical problems and will cost you far more in medical bills then the rip off price you initially pay. Second, don’t buy into the "designer" dogs from backyard breeders/puppy mills.

I suggest you either look into your shelters for small breed dogs or look at the list from AKC in the Toy or Non-sporting Group for something you like better. The long hair dogs you mention NEED grooming on a regular basis. If you don’t like that part and don’t like the hair styles, then maybe look for a short hair dog in the Toy breed classes.

You have to keep the hair trimmed if you want it at "puppy length"

ya there’s dogs that dont need haircuts, but they dont have long hair!

There’s no such thing as a "teacup" dog. NO dog stays a puppy forever.. they ALL grow!
