My Dog Is Drooling Alot?

My year and a half old morkie (maltese yorkie) just went for a haircut today, and when my mom picked him up, he was drooling a lot. He has never drooled like that before. He then got carsick in the car. He kept drooling after he got sick? I think he is ok, i am just curious as to why this happened

Anxiety is the most likely culprit. Grooming time is generally very stressful for smaller breeds, especially at a busy grooming parlor with a lot of activity and strange animals.

Dogs drool like this when they are anxious. One of my dogs drools buckets when he has to go in the car because it makes him nervous.

Probably just nerves, drooling for dogs is like sweating for people. He could've gotten worked up on the way there, or while he was there, or on the way home, which ultimately led to him vomitting and since he cannot sweat, he's drooling. I'd just keep an eye on him, sometimes it also can mean they have a fever or are not able to swallow normally. He should be fine, if he was fine before he went to the groomer. Good luck to you and your pup…………

My dog (shihtzu) does that once in a while. Don't know why she does it but it stops after a day or two. Good luck!

Keep an eye on him, if he is lethargic and won't eat take him to the vets, he could be running a temperature, I had this happen to my Lab a few weeks ago. They gave her an injection to stop the drooling and another to bring her temperature down plus tablets.
