Red, White, and Blue yorkie?
I like to consider myself a fairly informed dog owner. I did my research about yorkies before I got one. I've had my little guy for almost 2 years. But this afternoon I was stumped.
I was out walking my yorkie when this lady ran over to me and just freaked about my dog. I know he's a cutie, but i have never seen anyone react like this. She told me he was "priceless" because of his coloring. She referred to him as a red, white, and blue yorkie. She went on and on about how rare his coloring is (although, I have seen yorkies almost his exact coloring). She told me that I could sell my dog (2 year old dog, mind you) for over $3000 just because of his hair. When I told her he was fixed, she was all upset!
He's not yorkie standard color. His father was all gray/silver/blue (whatever you want to call that really light gray color). My pup is a very light color. Almost no black hair at all - only a little big on his tail. His head it the normal tan color, but also a lighter tan than standard. He's almost all gray on his back and a very light tan on his belly and legs. He gets lighter with every haircut.
Long story short, I have never heard of this red, white and blue thing. Was this lady just nuts? Has anyone here ever heard of anything like that?
yeah, even though I do consider my dog priceless, I doubt he's worth $3000!! No champion bloodlines or anything like that.
You have a very cute yorkie! I have owned three yorkies in my life, but I've never heard of a red, white and blue one. I would love to see his father though! An all silver yorkie? I bet he's adorable!!
And as far as I was concerned, all of my dogs were worth more than $3000!!! LOL!!
Maybe the lady was missing from a mental facility?

Judging from your picture, your Yorkie is cute, but not all that exceptional…even if he was intact, unless he had show awards behind him, selling him for $3000 is preposterous. I think the lady may have been a little off her rocker.

I agree with the 1st answer. From your picture, your Yorkie is very cute!
But, I think she mis-informed you. I don't think many people would spend 3000 dollars on a 2 year old yorkie.
My neighbor actually owns a yorkie, and he looks very simaliar to the one you just described.
So, good Luck!

It sounds like the lady was trying to pull some type of scam on you. I'm not sure what sort of scam it would be, but that's definitely the vibe I'm getting.
