How much do show quality yorkie puppies go for?

My mom and i were just looking at that like 20 minuets ago. They went for $745-$1050! it's a lot, but i have heard that the price is worth it. Now just to give you a little hint, If the yorkies are listed under Tecup or Tiny yorkie, and they are higher priced then all the others, don't buy it! There is no such breed as Tecup yorkies or Tiny yorkies or even Toy Yorkies! just to warn you. Hope i helped!

A puppy can be sold as show potentional, but you really cannot tell until they are about 6 months old. A puppy can really change, really fast. In our area a nice yorkie pup goes for 600.00-900.00.

Thousands. A pet quality dog from a reputable show breeder will be over $1000. I would think a show potential dog would be priced based on how closely it adheres to the breed standard, and how exceptional it is.

Breeders are good at picking out show potential puppies, but they aren't perfect. A puppy labeled as show potential may grow up to be a dog that can not be shown. Also good breeders do not put true show potential/ quality puppies into pet homes. They place the puppies with potential in homes that will show them.

Show Quality Yorkie pups go for a minimum of $2000, if you are looking at any Yorkie under $1500 then you are looking at pet quality, most will have no health clearances and will be large. Reputable breeders of "show" Yorkies do not advertise in your local paper the best way to find them is doing an engine search and contact breeders through their web sites that show dogs of merit. Also look for a local dog show and go watch you will get to see what a “show” quality Yorkie looks like and can meet some of the breeders.
