Yorkie Puppies

We bought an 11 week old male Yorkie from a breeder last week and just recently found out that his little (in size) brother is now for sale. We’re trying to decide if we should get him – thoughts?
What sorts of trouble does it pose if they bond with eachother – especially if I am the WELL established Alpha "Dog" in their life?

The downfall to having two puppies in the same age (siblings or not) is that they will learn to bond with the other puppy instead of you. If you were to get two, you would have to make sure you spend plenty of time with each dog at seperate times. Otherwise i say go for it. I have two chesapeake bay retrievers within 5 months of each other and i love having two dogs. They always have someone to play with even when we are not around. Once we got our younger one, the older one just seems to be more happy all around because he has a buddy now.

The trouble with them bonding together is that you would not be the "alpha" dog as much as you would like to believe you are. They become so attatched that they don’t want to have as much to do with humans as they would each other.

I want a cute puppy that will stay small. please tell me where I can get one in my friends state?

Adopt, don’t buy if you can help it (and if you do buy, buy from a reputable breeder that you’ve researched thoroughly).

"Newborn" is too early to be weaned from its mother. A couple of months is more like it.

When we were looking for our dog (a cockapoo) we looked at the ads in the Friday and Saturday AJC. I prepared questions, and telephoned a few advertisers; one litter sounded good, so we traveled to Griffin GA to pick out our puppy … and couldn’t be happier!

Be careful of the health risks with purebred dogs…. You might want to check out yorki-poo pups. They’re adorable!

For under $100 you could adopt, but I would recommend making sure you are ready for a dog and do research on how much time and money it really does cost even after you own the dog.

I am getting a Yorkie puppy in a few months and I want nothing but the very best for her so she lives a long and happy life! Also, if anyone else has any comments about what I can do for my little baby, please let me know! It will be greatly appreciated.
