i suggest a maltese. they are non-shedders. and a little bigger than yorkshier terriers so u dont have 2 worry about "watching where you step". yorkies can get snappy. so i suggest a maltese.

It depends on what you're definition of better is. They both need the same amount of grooming….You may have better luck with training a Maltese. You gotta be a little more detailed in your question…

if you want a dog that does not shed then the yorkie is a good dog
if it doesn't matter then i still recommend the yorkie cuase its hyperallergenic

I have a Yorkie and he is the best! He is about 6-7 lbs and doesnt shed at all. He is playful and has a huge personality He isnt yippy at all (like i thought he may be), but may just be mine. Yorkies think that they are big dogs so they interact with other breeds quite well. My Yorkie loves the dog park! He sits still at bath time too. Like I said, that may just be mine though.

If you def. cant decide get a MORKIE! It is half yorkie and half Maltese. They are actully high in demand. They are just as cute as either pure bred. Hope you love your new lil guy/girl when you decide.

PS…heads up, bc they aare both small breeds they are a little harder to house break.
