Where can i get a Yorkie puppy in pennsylvania?

I am looking for a yorkie, puppy.
and i've checked out all the local shelters but i cannot find one.
I was hoping to find one there, but I did not succeed.
and i looked on the internet and the prices seem to be very high.
So, where can I get a cheap yorkie puppy in pennsylvania?
specifically in adams/york county areas.
Somewhere within an hour radius.

No dog is cheap. Expect to pay $750-$1500 for a well bred healthy Yorkie puppy.

Internet selling sites are ALL puppy mills and backyard breeder. Unhealthy overpriced puppies.

http://www.ytca.org has both a breeder and a rescue list. Remember, Yorkie Rescue groups are not shelters - they are usually dogs in foster homes. These dogs may or may not be on http://www.petfinder.com , so it's always best to fill out an application and do an interview - they will hold new dogs for the best match.

Chambersburg, PA has some at a Yorkie rescue.

Yeah, if you live in York county, you may have to do some traveling. Probably your best bet. Craigslist.org (has a York section) and your local paper (backyard breeders mostly :( ) may have some.

no dog is cheap.

try akc.org and look for breeders in your area.
otherwise, there's rescues that you can contact.

ALSO, get back into contact with all the shelters you went to; and ask them to get in contact with other shelters in the state.
they may have yorkies you can adopt.

Try contacting the YTCA for breeder recommendations. (They actually have a list of recommended breeders on their site by state.) Or attend a local dog show and introduce yourself to some breeders there.
As far as "cheap," breeding dogs ethically is not a cheap venture so breeders have to try to cover some of their costs when they place puppies that they do not hold back. Perhaps if your funds are limited, a breed specific rescue would be a good place to start. Or just save up while you are searching for a breeder.
