Where can I get a Yorkie puppy in the Bay Area?
I'm very interested in buying myself a Yorkshire Terrier puppy. I live in the bay area, San Jose to be more specific. If anyone has any info on Yorkie breeders in the area or even a pet shop where I can look at cute puppies, please let me know! Thanks.

please do not buy from a pet store!! pet store puppies are all from puppy mills… check it out: http://www.wellpetusa.org/Don't%20Buy%20that%20puppy%20from%20a%20pet%20store.htm

Check your local newspaper,,,,but I would go online to the local dog club and inquire of their breeders…..dog clubs have excellent breeders and will not tolerate anyone have a puppy mill, they are good reputable breeders in the dog clubs.

im from the bay area sunnyvale and stay away from craigslist well its a good site but there are people on there that will try and sell yorkies for like 2k and they're not full breed or they came from puppy mills.

Look in your local newspaper and you can look for rescue yorkies on petfinder.com. make sure the breed is right for you they tend to be very yappy and not get along well with other dogs. I wouldent suggest getting a puppy from a pet shop most of those dogs come from puppy mills look it up its horrible. good luck.

Make sure you don't get a puppy from a pet store. They mostly come from puppy mills. The best way is to go to the place where they have the mother & father on site to see how they are taken care of. Go on line & type in Yorkie breeders. If they refuse for you to come to the place where they are breed…be ware.
