I'm planning on getting a yorkie
but I've tried petfinder.com
and can't find a rescue near me
i live in the Andover, Ma area
please help me
and i do not support
puppy mills!

Check it daily. Also, go to the humane society and let them know you want a yorkie and get pre-approved for adoption. If they know you are serious they will keep you in mind when one comes in.
Also, let everyone from your friends and family to your vet know you are looking. When they hear of one that needs a home, they will let you know right away.
Also, if you have any extended family that lives close enough to travel to you in a day, you can ask them to keep their eyes peeled for a yorkie that needs to be re-homed. I got my latest border collie because my dad in another state saw her story on the evening news and alerted me. I got her a few days later because he picked her up and brought her half way to me.
Good luck, but do check petfinder.com every day, they postings change daily. And be patient, it will happen. I waited 2 months to find the right sheltie for me!
