Go to the dog park and follow a Yorkshire Terrier around until it goes. I am sure the owner will appreciate you picking up the dogs mess for them, though you may get an odd look.

Yorkie and Poodle mixes can be adopted, but since they are mutts they will be unpredictable and you should let the shelter help you see if the individual dog meets your needs.
